brake hose dilemma

As we all know our brake resivoir hose setup is probably the worst design in the last 40 + years of automotive history. It makes a ridiculous and non-necessary u turn around the strut tower. My problem is my original hoses started leaking so I went down to the local auto parts store and bought some bulk hose to replace it. Well turns out it is too stiff to "wrap" around the strut tower to connect to the master cylinder. My question is, is there a softer adequate hose people use or dare I ask if
