stock exhaust as IC pipes

By DJpowerHaus,
Is it possible to use the stock exhaust tubes all hacked up for IC pipes for MPI? Killing 2 birds with one stone.
Maybe somebody could play around a little. Then again.. you'd have to make sure there was nothing loose inside of it like little oxidation dusts. Still... its either work or money. I've got more time than money. Plus if I play my cards right, I'll have a spare exhaust laying around in a few months.
mpi and tbi, which would be more sensible...

By Truth,
i really like the success that the mpi has given you guys, but is it worth 1000 dollars? if i ONLY wanna go about super 16g turbo (maybe 17c or 18g), will mpi be necessary? and will someone tell me which parts i may need besides the mpi itself. and also things i wont need anymore. this would be greatly appreciated.
Marnal Stock Valves *Closed*

By Richie_Rich,

The '83 length valves are all shipped.
Thank you all for your patience during this GP.
Who would have known that the retainers and keepers for the '83 valves were discontinued. :-[
Maybe late this summer, I will check on another GP for valves and heads.
During the interm, I will try and find an inexpensive source for the retainers and keepers. Tim did a great service by locating the ones we needed. If I can gather up a bunch of used ones, that should make it more affordable.
The
head CC and compression info on my motor
By Boosted_One,
Piston       13cc
Deck        4.9cc
Stock gasket  8.5cc
head        73cc
---------------------------
total: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 99.4cc
3.625 x 3.625 x 3.858 x 0.7854 x 4 = 159
7.55 to 1 final compression
This is exactly what my machinist has written down.
This is with 8:1 JE pistons, head resurfaced 3 times, deck block and Marnal head.
