What do folks use for a alt bracket?

For those without an AC bracket, what do you use as an alt bracket? I have one that wasnt quite designed for these engines, and when I switched over to a Hyundai bracket, I had to flip it upside down and backwards to get any tension, and its just a bit too lose. I either need a new bracket or a shorter belt. Stopped by 3 auto stores and not a single one has the alt/pump belt in stock, nor could the monkeys find a similar belt that's a tad bit shorter, which is what I need. Kinda hard to find a

So I was reading about the 3 wire and saw mention of a 4 wire. 4th wire being a ground, so no need for a sheilding/braided ground line. So any part number in particular anyone use? Also read about using a resistor across + and - to cut power at optimum heat. No real info on this... google suggests a "20 ohm 10 watt resistor". Sound about right?
Correct Vacuum advance?

I have another post about my running issues but thought I would make a new post verifying the proper vacuum advance that often seems to be replaced by a non-turbo unit causing issues. I went to rock auto and cross referenced the Mitsu part number with the Intermotor VC269 Valve. Has anyone tried this valve? Is this the correct one? It's made in Japan and seems to be pretty high quality. Numbers on the part, in ink, are 3213 and 44571. I will probably find out this weekend if this is my is
