Is the heat shield for the turbine supposed to have a little room around it? I can spin it beneath the turbine just making sure the turbine housing seats it against the center cartridge so it doesn't affect the turbine in any way

I have had a safc2 for a year or so now but not fully installed. I never hooked up the airflow wires because it wouldnt stay running. I think my issue was the tach output. Now that I have msd and a tach adapter my tach signal is dead on. But before I hook it up completely I have a couple questions that some of you guys might be able to answer.   1st question: do I have to set the maft to all 0's?
