So can a serpentine belt be too tight?   So my sister was going to take her 01 elantra cross country. It needed an alternator so had a local old fashioned alternator shop rebuild itn   Well she makes it to the grand canyon and it stops charging at 1am 80 miles from any shop. It gets towed and the shop claimed that the belt was too right and killed the alternator. Plausible? I say bad rebuild. Wouldn't overtightening the belt shorten the bearing life at best? Wouldnt kill the internals in a week.

I have a set of Evo X GSR wheels (no tires). 18x8.5 +38. They're in great shape with a little bit of rash. I'm not sure what these go for so I'd like to start at $600 obo. I bought a pair of Autospecialty Power Stop drilled rotors and Axxis Metal Master brake pads from David at a good price, and with him picking up the shipping. But he sent them express, at much greater cost to himself. I'd happily o more biz with him. -Tom
