sorry guys if I'm off topic but I need to know fairly quick,, AMD cpu , cheap lap top HP/ compaq , CQ 57 -229WM , C50 1 ghz cpu,, can I slip a c50 dual core 1.6 in place of the single core 1.0 ghz in there now   like you'd think with the 1.0 cpu it's slow as mud

I know it isn't pretty, but how worth it is it to try and very it isn't still cracked and repair any possibles? Seems like there has been some previous repairs of unknown quality.
