Both actually. We picked it up with intentions of doing a 4G swap on it, but after getting it back and looking it over, we just can't see cutting this thing up. Once sold, we'll probably pick one up that's not in as good of shape to play with.

"Original Miles", I.E., not rolled over odometer, not a laundered title, not a restoration with the odometer reset, etc. The car was repainted in the late 80s/early 90s by the original owners. Story was that they were following a gravel truck that basically sand-blasted the front end. They took the car back to the original dealer (who had both Chrysler and Mercedes Dealers) and had the insurance work performed by the Mercedes body shop. For 20 year old paint it still looks phenomenal. The car still even has the cadmium coating on most of the parts under the hood.

I wish that I were in CA trying to sell this thing. The whole classic-import thing out there is getting off of the ground pretty strong. We'll catch up on the east coast in a few years... I wish I had more space/money. I'd be just storing this thing and taking it out a couple times a year.

1) Head spacer to decrease compression is a big no-no. It's the "hack" way of dropping compression, and comes with a bunch of drawbacks. For those who'd like to debate this, do some research on quench and dwell then pipe up. 2) Increasing stroke isn't always a "win" situation. Take 2.0 and 2.4 4G63s for example. I've disliked the 2.3/2.4s since they started using them, and sure enough a lot of people are getting out of them for those reasons. Even guys who were big advocates of the 2.4s have begun to realize that they're "Noisy POSs" (his words). Volumetric efficiency is what you're after, not simply "displacement".

If you can find one, I'd highly suggest going with a 2.0 wideblock, and avoid the 2.4 blocks. There's a reason why even lower-mileage units out of stock automatic vehicles show a lot of crank wear. I've yet to understand why people still go with this option. Good call on the wideblock instead of going with the 4G63 block. Makes transmission selection a lot easier. The other aspect is that I'd axe the MAF translator. Those things are suspect at best, especially with the DSMLink in the loop. I'm still pushing for them (DSMLink) to try to get a MAP based version of the DSMLink available. As far as the harness, it's not that hard of a job to utilize the DSM harness in there.

Honestly, I have to check the rear. It's been sitting in an "out-building" for about 9 months and I want to make sure moisture hasn't been an issue before I sell it to someone. I'll check it tomorrow and let you know. As far as price---same as everything else listed...make reasonable (yet on the cheap side) offer. Everyone else has given me reasonable offers and still gotten the stuff cheap. I have no idea what the stuff is worth in the used market---and don't honestly care. I'm just not taking hours to ship something for $10 profit.

Saw your PM, brutha but I don't have a definitive answer yet as they don't list that kit on the Walbro site or parts list. Just have to make a call tomorrow during buisiness hours and get you an answer. As far as having ACT make Chromoly units for the Starquests, I can at least talk to them tomorrow to see if there's interest. We can always cross our fingers.

We don't sell Fidanza as I hate the company (did a cheap copy of my 1G DSM shifters (that suck, BTW) and ***** out to "Dorm-Room Vendors" on Ebay. So, we stay away from that company (had it out with them several times on the phone about being scum). I've PMed you on the clutch though.
