  1. His Cancer has matastasized (stage IV) but he has no simptoms or complications. He is very healthy (besides the cancer), has never been a smoker or heavy drinker, and there are absolutely no cancer in any of my family. The Oncologist said today that he is a prime candidate for any trails pretty much anywhere in the country. He will be contacting Duke, MD and Charleston on Monday morning to see whats available locally. Other than that, we are gathering all the info possible to make the best decisions. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers and I will keep everyone updated, Ben
  2. My Father (54 years old) was just diagnosed with this terrible disease. The doctors went in on Wed to see if they could remove the tumor but found that the cancer had already spread to the surrounding areas. My plea is to anyone that has had family or friends that have gone through this same type of cancer and what treatments have had any success. They give my dad 6-12 months and even if we can extend that by a little, it would be worth it no matter the cost. My Wife and I have been trying to get pregnant since last year and it would be nice to lay his first grandchild in his arms before he passes on. Thanks, Ben
  3. Alright guys, I have to let my baby go. My wife and I are going to have babies of our own so I can't spend any more money on my car. For those of you that know my car, it's in pretty good shape except for some door dings on the drivers side. The motor was taken out and sold because I was planning on putting in a LS but all of the wiring is still there. For those of you who are not familiar with it, here are some details. 1988 SHP 5 spd Yellow w/ custom black stripe Black leather seats Interior is all original Front air dam is cracked (typical) Trunk shocks are broken Email me for pictures if you are interested BenBryant080503@aol.com and make offers. Thanks for everyone who has helped me in the past and even though I am selling my car, I will always be a club member and still attend events to see the progress of members rides.
  4. This has been interesting but I have to go to work now so I can support the 45% of the population that don't pay taxes!
  5. While I can never repay you for your service to this country, I have to say that you could have found a better "spokesman" for your cause. I compare Matt Damon to Obama in that if there's not a written script or a teleprompter, he sounds like a bubbling idiot. Comparing Palin's record to Obama's, come on, he hasn't experienced a wet dream in the political world. Besides, if I was a betting man, I'd take the same odds that Biden would become our next president under the same circumstances. Of course it's a political decision, Matt!, it's all politics. Why do you think Obama chose Biden, because while over half of America doesn't want B.O. in the white house, all of America definately doesn't want Biden behind the desk, if you catch my drift :gun:
  6. I was using an ACT Extreme 6 puck and had no problems at 380lbs of torque. I am currently doing a V8 swap and won't be needing my clutch. I will sell you the the pressure plate but I would replace the disc. I also have a Fidanza flywheel that weighs 10.5 lbs. PM me if your interested.
  7. I always disconect the battery when welding. The first time it went out was Sunday morning in Pigeon Forge after a strong thunderstorm. I replaced it and drove home. The next time I tried to start it was the following Thursday and nothing. It's kinda like the 4 bolt axles, we've never had a problem with them, even at 600 hp but others have at lower hp. I'm not saying don't use the MSD, some don't have problems, but I have and feel I should share my story.
  8. The CINquest runs low 11's all day and would be in the low 10's if it didn't have stock suspension. He was doing that on stock 4 bolts.
  9. Maybe now you can get insurance on your ride!!! Congrats, dude, come see us at the shop on the weekends. Maybe we can make your ride fast :hmm3grin2orange:
  10. I would just like to share my personal experience with the MSD 6AL, if that is the one you are going to use. The Sunday morning of the Pigeon Forge meet a couple of weeks ago, I try to start my car and I get no spark. We determined that it must be the box that went bad. We went up to Advance Auto to get a new one and the guy tells us that he has customers that replace them every month. I noticed that when I opened the box to make sure everything was in there at the counter, a sticker is now placed on them that basically states that it's an experimental unit and should not be used off the track. I asked the guy about it and he says they started putting them on there because of the large numbers of returns and it is easier for the manufacturer to negate the warrantee. Basically a disclosure sticker protecting themselves. BTW: I went out to start my car the following Thursday, no spark! I had to tow my car to the shop. The good thing about them is that when it did start, my car ran smoother, made more power and had a rev limiter. If I wasn't swapping to a different motor that didn't need one, I would carry a spare.
  11. I can't believe he bought that and to top it off theres a cover that came with it that he uses every night. I don't cover my car every night, but then again, I didn't pay as much for my car!
  12. Close but no. The LS2 is an aluminum block and can not hold the pressures we will be running. We are using an LQ9 iron block as a base with all the goodies from an LS2 and a progressive nitrous system.
  13. You must be talking about Underground Racing's white car.
  14. All I am going to say is that it's half a dozen liters and will make more than half a dozen hundreds! We are making a video to be released when it's all done.
  15. I know for a fact that our kit will hold at least thirty psi, bead rolled w/ T-bolt clamps and the incoming air temps are below 100 degrees at full boost on an 80 degree day. If you can build a kit yourself at the same level of quality, then that's great. Most people cannot and that's why they buy ours. I could probaby build a toilet for less than what Home Depot sells one for, but I would rather know that it's going to buckle under the pressure, lol.
  16. Here are some more parts that I am selling. I listed them on EBAY because it's easier for me. Take a look if your interested. A/C http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=230273892941 Alternator http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=230273895228 Distributor http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=230273897407
  17. Sorry, the piping was sold with the kit! We do still sell a new kit w/ the intercooler and piping starting at $500 if your interested.
  18. Everything came out pretty easily. I did prove that you could pull out a motor, trans, radiator and intercooler with only standard wrenches due to the fact that another mechanic borrowed my 3/8 and 1/2 ratchet on Friday and locked them in his tool box. I was kinda bummed at first but I like a challenge and it only took five hours to do it all. Most of the parts are still for sale. The intercooler kit is sold, Claurance2 was going to by the block and head, but I don't know now that he said he was through w/ Starquests, and the Hurricane 4, turbo, manifold, wastegate and exhaust are up for grabs to the highest bidder.
  19. Don't forget the CINquest!!!
  20. We specialize in 350Z performance so I would offer to the owner to bring it buy the shop (on an overcast night) and let me put on a 300 DRY! shot and then let him take it to the track. Don't worry, it would all be over soon.
  21. If my car is put back together by then, I will definately be there.
  22. Now you have an idea of what real acceleration feels like!!! :hmm3grin2orange:
  23. Me, Matt and the wives aren't leaving until Friday morning. Are you still needing somewhere to crash?
  24. Could be a number of things. Check to make sure your wastegate arm is adjusted correctly so that it's closed. Check for oil in the intake pipe and charge pipes to see if your turbo seals are toast. Make sure you don't have excessive shaft play. My money's on the wastegate arm being out of adjustment if you don't see any smoke from the tailpipe.
