Well its either a Conquest or a C6Z if that tells you anything. I think Shelby has the right idea about what I am looking for. My two cars were both low mileage cars with extreme lack of mechanical maintenance. One had 49k and the other has 58k. Mileage really doesnt matter at all, but a low mileage car would make it that much better.

No red interior is what I meant. My 88 is red and I like it.

So for the past week or so I have been looking for the next addition to my collection of playtoys. I didnt mention anything to the wife because she isn't a fan of StarQuests. Well so far the search has came up empty, but it's ok. No rush at all. I know what I want and that may be impossible to find. Anyway I made a post on Facebook about wanting one and she made a positive reply... I was at work when I posted it, lol. She brought it up earlier on the phone and was a little hesitant. At the end of the conversation she said she would support me %110 as long as I took my time to find the right car. So as long as there is one out there that can be purchased that is up to my(and the wife's) standards... I will be making the purchase of my third StarQuest hopefully within the next 12 months. It all depends on what I can find or what may fall in my lap. -On to the details... These are an absolute MUST: 88-89 Only Low mileage - No rollbacks. Mint interior - No sunroof, NO RED, No hard leather... Idk what the difference is but my 88 had soft factory leather but I drove an 86 that had hard leather that looked nice Show worthy paint and body - Widebody cars only, No dents, no dings, no roughness in the plastics Wheels - Polished STOCK SHP wheels preferably NO RUST Suspension - As much aftermarket as possible, coilovers preferred with good bushings everywhere Drivetrain - MPI, built, clearwater or other aftermarket head, big turbo and a 5 speed OR LSX engine swap with T-56 You get the idea. I am being VERY picky but I want the best of the best. If ANYONE knows of a car relatively close that may or may not be for sale please let me know. I am not going to jump at the first thing I see. I know there probably are less "entire package" cars out there that fit my description than can be counted on both hands, but IF there is one out there I want a shot at it. Thanks guys, Wade

I have more money in mods in my TBSS than the highest sale price I have seen for a StarQuest... I am looking for a MINT roller( with a drivetrain that's solid as a rock and will run bottom 12s or faster. I think this car is worth it to the right buyer.

I have a Vengeance VRX3 cam(226/228, .585/.588, 114LSA), FAST LSXRT 102 manifold, Kooks 1-7/8" longtubes with a catless y pipe, Yank SS3600 converter with a built 4L70E trans, 4.56 gears, a 4" intake and maf housing and a lot of other stuff.

Just going to put this out there before someone questions it... "cam only" just means the only change to the engine is the cam, springs, and pushrods. It has nothing to do with boltons, weight reduction, tires, trans/converter, or gears. The only change is the cam. No spray, no boost, no bullstinky. Its run what you brung and hope you brought enough. My truck holds the record in its class and is also the #2 fastest N/A TBSS. I am only .04 from being the fastest "All Motor" N/A. That means anything goes(stroker, heads, cam, ANY MOTOR) other than nitrous and boost. I am also tied for 5th fastest 60' time. 3 of the 4 faster 60' trucks are 9 second trucks. I am far from done so subscribe to my youtube page and check back every so often. Nothing goes unmodded around my shop! Haha

I think the red interior might be hurting you. I have owned two of these cars. Still have one but I am in the market for a really nice car but I am just not a fan of your interior. It wouldn't be a big deal but when I sold my black car(black velour) I also gave him the black leather interior from my red car... I really messed up because my redcar only has 40k on it and the interior was MINT as far as im concerned... Looks like 5-6k is a good price for your car... good luck! If it only had black (blue, haha) velour interior and the paint/body was a little better.

Another update. Everything has changed. I have gone to a bigger engine and now have to go to a th400 and a 9" rear. The new engine makes just a tad under 650hp/575tq N/A. Its a forged 388 sbc. I am looking to sell the th350 and the other engine. It is all new and never been ran. Anyway here is the video of the new engine. New engine video So right now I am having to start from scratch again. The trans tunnel was cut for the th350 so its a bit tight for the 400. I will keep this all updated a bit more often than once a year haha. I have been very busy with work and playing with my TBSS. I also bought a new Camaro SS. Type in Wongbob on youtube an you can see a bit of both. Anyway, the Quest is at a shop having the work done now because I am away from home for work 90% of the time. That being said the car should make progress much faster than it would at my pace. They say they can have it going down the track by the end of summer. Shooting for 9's! If I dont get it this year I am going to pull the domes out and run some dishes with a big turbo setup. CR right now is 13.5:1 and I dont do spray so if it cant give me what I want on motor its going to be boosted.

I know no one... This little chunk of change will put me over the 13k mark. I have about 5k in the engine... 470horse 350. I almost had a 600 horse blown 355, but I got screwed. Brother in law. He decided to keep it and put it back in his truck, but with a 6-71 blower... man that engine is mean. I still have to buy wheels and tires, do the interior(all sheet metal), and have a driveshaft made. Thats another 2500 right there. So im looking at well over 16k invested when its done. I still plan to do a bit of body work and some custom paint.

Well im dropping another 2k for all this fab work. He told me 650, but I want it to look good and make sure the engine stays under the hood and out of my lap... As long as the oilfield keeps rollin on like it is mine will be done in a few more months.

Mine is supposed to be hitting the fab shop in two weeks. Didnt expect it to take months before someone could get to it, but I will post more pics when its done. After this bit the only thing I will need will be a driveshaft for the driveline to be done. I will post pics after the engine and trans are installed. Its gonna be PURDY! May post a video of it running. Get ready guys... the time has come.

Hope you like it. You shouldnt have to ever pull the tank on it. I spend about 12 hours cleaning it one day. There was a spare injector clip in the back and a braided turbo line that is new from TEP. Never installed it because they sent it with the wrong fittings. Thanks... that will be a good spot for the swap car.
