  2. The early looms arnt as good as the later model looms. Well thats the case in Au anyway. Things stop working, connections go bad after 25+ years. Looks very similar to 82-83 spec cars (referred to as JA Starions) in Australia. Same motor/injection, tail lights, bumper, headlight washers and interior. For engine trouble look up Austarion as thats the most common injection setup we had here.
  3. Find out what troubles he is having and look up Austarion. Looks like the same motor/injection setup from our JA models. I bet its wiring related. Early looms are shocking.
  4. Will be a sad day when Sully sells this car.
  5. If its like the 82-82 setup on Australian Starions the Dashpot (think thats what tis called) gets stuck and can cause idle issues. Have a loook on Austarion.
  6. Nice, S3 RX7, Good friend has one of these but with a 13bt with some work from a Cosmo. I recently got one for parts as well to go into a old Mazda wagon.
  7. Ive seen people buy up cheap items to sell for much larger profit later on.
  8. After some part swapping i got a set of Conquest lights shipped to AU from Tom. Shipped as soon as he could, Came very well packed, Exactly as described, Said he would track item if i wanted. Very happy

  10. I always get asked who retrimmed my interior. I got stock 87 AU black velour interior
  11. I think due to the low compression motors you guys have it would suck being supercharged. If it were high compression and the supercharger just added extra oomph then it would be alright.
  12. I would hate to be a newborn nowdays, What a crappy society they are growing up into.
  13. wants me to log in as well. I think its the one about the Australian drag racer living in Texas who did a burnout at a charity event last June i think? He got a 18 month suspended sentence this week but still facing multi-million dollar civil suits against him.
  14. Well its now Wednesday morning here, its too cold, im at work wishing it were Friday afternoon.
  15. HAHA i asked the same thing in chat the other week. I think it would loook weird.
  16. If its the same as AU gauges it should be easy. *Remove the gauge cluster *Unscrew the plastic lense and gauge cover on the front and the small bolts holding in the boost gauge on the back. *The boost gauge should come out now *You will need to drill a small hole through the plastic on the gauge cluster housing to allow the vacuum line and wires to pass through. You also need to cut the printed circuit board. Be carefull doing this. *Its easier to use a shallow gauge when doing this, as what i did. *Connect the vacuum line up to the gauge properly and trial fit it back in the stock position to check if there is enough clearnance behind the gauge. *Once it fits properly (more cutting may be required on the back plastic) you can bolt it in for good now. *Most gauges use a small U shaped steel clamp to hold the gauge in. put the clamp on and secure it with the 2 nuts. Make sure the gauge is aligned properly before tightening the nuts, they dont require tightening to much. *Make a small wiring loom that will run to the ashtray light. Take the power to run the light in the gauge from here. it will turn on when park lights come on. Also run the vacuum line down under the dash near the pedals. *Reasemble the dash back together being careful not to pinch the vacuum line. *Run the vacuum line through a grommet in the firewall to the engine bay and connect it to a vacuum source after the throttle body. Then trace back and zip tie the vacuum line out of harms way in the engine bay as well as under the dash. That should be it.
  17. Had a pro-street meeting yesterday. Suprisingly a 2.6 powered rail showed up. Runs a stock magna bottom end, worked head, heavily modified magna intake manifold with methanol jets drilled into it. Not sure on the size of the turbo and it also runs a Powerglide 2 speed. Runs somewhere in the 7s. I would have taken better pics but i was stuck on the starting line all day. http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/2963/26railor0.jpg http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/26/26rail2pj5.jpg Ive got a poor quality vid from my phone (didnt have time to change settings) i can post later.
  18. Is the Bov attached to the port closest to the firewall of the 3 on the TBI. Apparantly thats the best one to use. Also see if the BOV needs lubrication.
  19. Run the VCR to TV then use AV out on the TV to the DVD recorder?

  21. It was originally champagne. a Previous owner painted it. Engine bay and underside of hood will be painted when motor gets changed over. Door jams and everywhere else was painted, Just not the engine bay
