Hy Shelby.I saw on manual and that's how my engine runs before. with timeing crank-can:on the chain are two shyni links;with the crank at TDC you put the short part in the right side one link on the crank and the other on the spot marked on cam gear.The pin in the cam request cam position.This is on tristarion.com pdf manual. I saw you recomend on forum:crank at TDC(cul no 1 on 0) and the spot on the cam gear at 12o'clock. In both sit. the piston didn't hit the valve,I've checked this ,but I didn't start the engine with cam at12. Please light me up!Am I missing somethig on the way of timeig or what? Bye.

I have an '89 2,6 ECI Starion with hydraulic lifters. Question:to convert hydraulic into mechanic lifters should I change also the camshaft?I have another "85 2,5 T/C with mech lifters so everything is there.I also want to put in(change) roller rockers from a V6 3000. Any recomandations??????

My car is '89 turbo interc Starion,but knock box is black plastic and one port waste gate actuator(inlet presure is controling it only, no solenoid).If I change the knock box with the metal one from a Conquest what modif shold I do (wireing)and will this be an improvement?Thanks.

I need more details how to trick ECU for higher boost,like colour for wire,exect location on wich conector and also on the car. I DON"T HAVE COMPLETE WIREING FOR STARION 2.6TURBO INTERCOOLER european one. DOES ANYBODY HAVE THIS???????????WOULD BE NICE X-MAS PRESENT FOR ME!

- First of all it is EUROPEAN modelSTARION 2.6 ECI TURBO. -To identify the conector I need the complete wireing for this car,because for sure is not under the glove box(I changed interior two times and dash bord). -I also need this dyagram to trick the boost limit wich I understood is limit by ECU,and water sensor But first step I must check the error codes to see the O2 and other imp items.THANKS.

Hi.I have an '89 Starion WB 2.6 turbo intercooler and there's no diagn.conector under the glove box.On the '86 model (I have also one broken) is a blue con. under the box. Did somebody know error codes and connector for the '89?Sometime the engine rpm is falling down at idle for a few sec even if you step on.It's a bit dangereus when you try to overtake shortly.I can't solve this problem for a long time.Can be the knock sensor? Need some ideas!!!I am located in Romania(Europe) and have nobody to speak with about this car(5 in my country and 3 are mine).
