  4. I have a phone # from a previous trade on this guy if you want it.
  5. interested in 1 with the EDIS wheel.
  6. by ecu are you referring to MS? If so MS never sees the missing tooth all this is handled by EDIS.
  7. yes timimg would be out of whack but that is controlled by edis not ms. As far as I understand ms only sees the PIP and then sends the SAW (at the proper width to set advance). How then does ms know when TDC would be for injecting fuel? It never sees the wheel, this is all done by EDIS. Say for instance you turn the engine off and come back later and start the car. ms has no idea at what point on the wheel it is. all it knows is when a bank fires (from the 12v PIP square wave). If it just sees a square wave then it can't even distinguish which bank is firing all it know is that a bank fired so it is time to inject fuel into one of the banks. I think that to actually have ms "know" when TDC is you would have to add another trigger such as a magnet. It really doesnt matter that ms doesn't know which bank is currently firing(if this is how it works) the fuel may not be in the correct place when you first try to start the engine but after the very first cycle it is always gonna be sitting there waiting on top of the valve.
  8. edis sends on a 4 cylinder 2 pulses. 1 for each bank of spark to fire. As far as I can see from reading it does not send any sync pulse to ms for TDC. I am understanding the same way slowquest stated.
  9. interested. I don't know how much this is worth. Name a price and I will offer lower than that. Just kidding. Really though please shoot me a price.
  10. How does MS know from the PIP signal from edis which bank is firing in order to figure out which injector bank to fire? I have already read and reread the EDIS section of Megamanual. It does not address this.
  11. Yeah I saw that. I was hoping someone had bought one then decided not to use it or maybe used for a short time. I'm a cheapskate.
  12. I am interested. I have an 88 auto with 65,XXX miles tranny is good and the car runs good. I have tons of paperwork from the life of the car including original window sticker etc... the body is great no rust and the interior is near perfect. ac works suspension is still nice and firm. does need to be painted on the front and rear bumpers (faded) the front air dam is in place and not broken. car is completely stock. I would really rather have a five speed than an auto. I can send you pics if you are interested.
  13. are you going have it at the pigeon forge meet?
  14. I guess whoever wrote that did not see the injectors and fuel rails.
  15. I am planning to stop by but only for a couple of hours. looking to pick a head up while I am there too. Mine has a broken exhaust stud so I figure I will just go ahead and replace the head with NJV head.
  16. where did you get your values? not bashing just curious. I was looking at kelly blue book.
