Ive been putting this one together and im learning as I go. When I get it to start it idles rough and you cant rev it up without it sputtering and increasing the amount of gas fumes and smoke, and then it shuts off. Obviously somethings wrong but, I dont know where to start. All help is appreciated. Thanx Jay

ok, so I try all that and it still wont start and yes the tach bounces. I know all the parts are working because they all came from a running quest. Im just baffled.

I took all good working parts off a rusted out but running quest and put them in one ive been peicing together lil by lil. Now, im at a stand still due to no start. It turns over and over but no start. Seems as if theres no spark. Im no ase mechanic and im learning hands on about these cars so please bear with me. Shouldnt you get a jolt by holding the coil plug while attempting to start ? No jolt was felt. Im also not 100% sure that I have the 4 lil wires hooked up right on the coil. If I had a detailed pic of the coil area that would be great. Also, things to check would be very much appreciated. Thanx in advance Jay

ok, what does it look like and where is it ? I dont know the lil things on these cars. From reading some of the articles it sounds like this could be my problem

Well, im hoping that this new injector i have coming fixes my last main glitch. If so, i'd be up for it, finally meet some of you Colorado guys.

ok,1st of all. While at idle car runs fine. If I ease into it and slowly accelerate it does perfect. When I get onto it it jerks and spits and sputters. So, I decided to just drive it out of town easing into it. Only problem then is, at a stop when I try to accelerate it spits and sputters well more like bucks wildly until I can get up to speed. Then it gets to a point where it shuts down and will not restart until it sits for awhile. Any clues or suggestions would be very helpful. Thanx Jay

Wishing lifes happenings could be changed. If they could I would have been there and be happy and all. As I was preparing to leave on my journey this week I was hit with some bad news. My father in law has 3 tumors on his brain and has be given 90 days to live, he told me to go anyway but, how could I ? Well,It looks like I have everything ready to go except a couple of gauges.That can be worked around with aftermarket ones so, I'm ready to role. It's only 3625.86 miles round trip. Im really looking forward to it.It'll be good to see some old friends and make new ones. Later Jay
