  1. Umm.... Why is his coolant pink? (Im assuming thats coolant spraying out of the front)?
  2. Does anyone have a pic of the shp symbol on the rims?
  3. Bah, these cars are fairly simple once you get to know them. There is a cd floating around with the factory manuals on it and I seem to remember a site with a download link to it but I have slept since then.... The best visual guide by far would be the S.O.S. manuals over on http://starquest.i-x.net but you have to register to view them.
  4. Hello I sent a reply to your email thanks
  5. Sweet!!! I couldnt have asked for better pics 85.5flatbodystar That pretty much looks exactly like the one I built with the exception that I painted over the freeze plugs. lol, look for a couple of those pics on ebay in a couple days... thanx 85.5flatbodystar
  6. Need pics of a rebuilt quest engine with the block painted black (head and timing cover in silver) for my ebay auction, Ive seen a million of them on here before but cant seem to find any now that I need one, the engine can be on a stand or anywhere just as long as its not in the car. I should have snapped pics of mine before I installed it but its too late for that and Im not gonna pull it back out again... thanks
  7. The times I have had it done, it was around 40-50 bucks, the radiator guys do not want to do it because they are lazy and make the same exact amount for doing a shoddy pressure cleaning; whereas rodding requires them to actually remove the endaps and run a rod down each coolant passage to break up any clogs.. The rodding service is a lot better service but they will make every excuse in the book not to do it "it dosnt need it, it might develop pinhole leaks ect, ect, blah, blah..", personally I wouldnt take it to any shop where I couldnt stand and watch them do it

  12. That opel would have to be a 71-73 model because the 74-75 models came with fat aluminum bumpers instead of those thin sexy chrome units, although im sure you could swap the chrome units on the later models. They sold a crap load of those cars in the us & europe, so finding parts shouldnt be too hard. Theres a few really nice examples on cardomain also. This one in finland has a straight six swapped in it, so theres no reason a G54B wouldnt fit. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/733186 Also I forgot to mention, the hood opens backwards on those cars.
  13. This would fall under the "or something cool"category... http://www.motorimania.net/manifestazioni/sportive/images_opel/b_opel_manta_11.jpg http://www.motorimania.net/manifestazioni/sportive/images_opel/b_opel_manta_12.jpg http://www.motorimania.net/manifestazioni/sportive/images_opel/b_opel_manta_13.jpg German built Opel Manta You dont see many around these days, a relative of mine used to have one and loved it. Im sure you could fit a G54b in there
  14. IMHO dont waste your money on an alarm, especially any fancy perimeter setup, eventually you will have so many false alarms that you will start ignoring it and car alarms are so played out now that people on the street dont even glance over when they go off anymore. About the only thing you can do is install a hidden kill switch, it may not prevent any vandalism, but it will most likely keep them from taking your car.
  15. To answer your question, yes a sawzall would work great for disassembling the car, my bro used one to take apart a 75 riviera once, I used once to take apart a badly wrecked quest, just takes a little longer than a torch and will make your hands numb sometimes.
  16. This is just info for those that might be interested in swapping a small block dodge with manual 5 speed trans that is way stronger than a T5 into a conquest. Note: I have not done this, nor will I be able to attempt this anytime in the near future, this is just info I picked up for those who might be interested.. First you will need to decide on the engine you want, 318, 340, 360.... usually can be had for a couple hundred, plenty of aftermarket.. *If you got deep pockets you might wanna pick up a late model 5.7L hemi from a wrecked 03 and up Ram, 300C, Charger, ect... The first gen 5.7's put out 345 horsepower and and 375 lb-ft of torque. You could get one from a wrecking yard with the full harness and computer and you would have a fuel injected, aluminum head smallblock for a couple grand* Plenty of aftermarket and growing for this engine More info on the "new" hemi.... Hemi Magnum V8 Engine Dos'nt matter which one you pick, the important thing to remember is that they all have the same bellhousing pattern The next important step is to locate and puchase a dakota v6 bellhousing, it will bolt right up to the small block engines listed above, 90's versions are fairly cheap and easy to find in junkyards. You can also use the v6 flywheel as it uses a 10.5" clutch on a 143-tooth wheel, and fits a typical 10.5" muscle-car pressure plate. Now for the Transmission, you need to source a Toyota Supra R154 5 speed from a 88-92 turbo, they can be had from the junkyard or ebay for a couple hundred and will handle gobs of power, the RI54 will bolt directly to the Dakota bellhousing, the reason for this is the Dakota bellhousing was used with the AX15 transmission, and both the R154 and the AX15 are built by Aisin-Warner. The bolt pattern on the transmission is very common, and was used with a variety of vehicles/transmissions. This is the combination mopar guys are using to put 5 speeds in their a bodies
  17. Only real issue I see Is quality, hopefully their not some cheap chinese junk that will fail on you at the worst possible moment, I didnt see any name brand on them so you might wanna check into it :confused0024:
  18. Sounds like spyware, with all the popups.. Get Lavasoft Ad-aware, the free version Also get the free version of Spybot search & destroy download the newest updates and run them both back to back. I have used both of these for a few years and they always got rid of any spyware I picked up. This. Its gotten to the point that I run a google search on any program I consider downloading with the name of the software & spyware typed in just to see if others have had problems, before I will download :character0269: Also you might want to disconnect your internet connection while you are running the spyware checks.
  19. Dont waste your time with the e8000 master pumps, they are junk right out of the box, get a Walbro 255lph, they are a hundred times better quality and will support your future mods up to 600hp if I remember right. I have seen them on ebay for around 120
  20. Are these new or old pumps you are frying?
