  1. I know you-JEEPQUEST! You know, Dave, YOU ARE a big part of this community. You're one of my "go to" guys when I have probelems...so, thanks. You have more posts than me and I've been on here since '03.
  2. My '88 DD actually "scrubs" in behind the steering wheel when you turn it and the radio controls don't work so I've been needing to pull it and fix it for a coupla years now. It has a hole at noon o'clock on the leather so I said I'm not pulling IT and putting IT back on, I said I'm not gonna pull it until I find a steering wheel with perfect leather to replace it with. I don't like those lace-on covers and you guys haven't been any help, anybody with a good one wanted what it's worth-$50 and up! Finally found this on evilbay...guy had it listed as an '87 wheel. No one bid on it but me! $21 shipped! I left that guy some GREAT feedback! http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/88steerwheel.jpg Now I can't wait to get it installed-definitely by this weekend!
  3. (( bump )) (( bump )) Okay, somebody make me an offer before I go to evilbay.
  4. Thanks for doing the shirts MIke-they look super! :character0028:
  5. I've got the entire package to convert any model starquest to rear shoulder belts. Black rear side hatch panels and covers included. $75 shipped to the lower 48. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/belt3.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/belt2.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/topcovers.jpg
  6. Yeah, I noticed my '86 parts car had the place for the rear retractors and the bolt holes. I hadn't noticed the "punch-out" in the plastic panels. You still have to have those little covers on top to hide the top of the retractor. I still have the entire set-up out of an '89 for sale if anyone's interested...yes I still want $75 shipped.

  8. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/srt4.jpg time for a new thread http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/srt4TWO.jpg
  9. pm'd ya Randy. The bidding's on until Sat. at 6pm(central time).
  10. From what I was seeing on ebay and on an auction network(manheim) that one of the crossfireforum guys hooked me up with I was going to be able to get an SRT6 coupe with 30-40k miles for between 13-14 grand. I'm seeing G35s with 50k miles for 15k.
  11. Yeah, while I was studying up on the SRT6 I thought about you Chris. I said "yeah, I got a buddy that knows Mercedes!" Mechanically, they're sweet(330 HP) but those folks on the forum were saying "I'm having to take it to the dealer tomorrow, pray for me!"
  12. No, the last crossfire rolled off the assembly line Dec. 2007(but they're still selling those new as 2008 models), SRT6's were only made in 2005 and then just a handfull of 2006 models.
  13. ...after lurking around crossfireforum.org and even joining for a few posts I got to noticing the "rear firewall." Wow, I really like the car and I need something else besides a conquest to do the new job I've got but I kinda spread out in a car(like to throw stuff in the backseat) and I'm 6'4" I need to lean the seat back and you can't in that car because it's basically a convertible with a fixed metal top. I stopped at a dealership today and got in one just to make sure. It's pretty screwy and, of course, it's structural... there's no removing it. Guess I'm looking at G35s now or maybe a 2-door 325.

  15. re-listed due to non-payer bidder. Message me your SQC handle for free shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Conquest-St...A1%7C240%3A1318
  16. I've bought three off ebay and was satisfied with all three. Two were late model vehicles and one was an '80 model chevy p/u. Get all the info you can-with late model vehicles get the carfaxes, with older vehicles, communicate with the seller as much as possible. The vehicles all had a least a thing or two that was less than ideal but then I got a great price on them all so I was happy. Of course, I never had to fly to get one or have one shipped, that turns a good deal into a bad one IMO. On the truck, my wife and I took a small vacation and drove it 300 miles home(I took a towbar just in case). My son hopped a bus and drove a car back 100 miles and the other, the guy met me halfway-couple a hundred miles each.
  17. I guess your car's a straight shift? Automatic car's air guides are different.
  18. Yes! Thanks for starting this Matt! At least a dozen times I've had to hunt someone who had Dad's website on their sig. attn: All venders. Respond to this post to help make it happen. If everyone was in one spot, I'm sure most of us would go them all regularly.
  19. That's a 3/8 line to the brake booster. It's a formed hose from the factory that you can't squeeze closed with your fingers. I wasn't convinced any vacumn hose from a parts store wouldn't collapse and after giving up on finding a new factory one I made one from a 3/8 inch metal brake line with 3/8 inch rubber hose on each end to connect it up. You can bend the metal line to the same shape as the original. It's dark out now but if you'd like a pic let me know I'll post one tomorrow.
  20. I still have the headliner in my '86 parts car. PM me if you still need it. Pretty sure most of the other items you mentioned are gone but I'll look.
  21. If there ever is a problem with bad advice being given, it fixes itself. If you don't believe it, just go on the VM forum and say something stupid-you'll be attacked! Flamed AND spit on! I try to help someone if I notice they're not getting many responses to their post but I learned years ago here that I don't say how to definitely fix a problem unless it something I've dealt with many times or something I just did last week.
  22. Well, I apologize for taking us back to the subject but I feel like I have to respond to this since we operate a Shell station. We all know gas is gas, the difference is the additives(basically the same thing as STP gas/fuel treatment). The "nitrogen" must be bonded to the additives. Shell has always "added" more than any other brand. Lately, our customers have said they seem to be getting even better mileage so maybe it is an improvement and not just an ad campaign.
  23. We're 60 miles north of Auburn right up 280. If you find yourself headed to Birmingham stop at the Shell station just north of Sylacauga and ask for Charles.
