  7. Hey guys all valid points, I could deff make a spacer for the 4.6 throttle body if there is interest. I actually wondered that, I have one on my mighty max truck, its 1 inch and it clears and could possibly could be 1.5 inchs. As far as a starion I dont own one nor did they ever come to canada so I dont even have one in the area to measure. I could deff post some but its hard to see as it is all ready installed. As far as performance gains, I don have any hard evidence like dyno numbers. The main reason I did mine was for a pwm valve and the performance and better running was just a side effect. I dont want to offer parts that are a waste of money for people, as they do take me a lot of time to build by hand but rather parts that others dont make or offer to help with cars I love.
  8. Hey guys As some of you know I have been building adapter plates to run mazda TPS on the stock TBI unit and was thinking about selling one of the other parts I have been using on my 2.6 with some time with great success. I was looking into building and selling throttle body spacers. The one I have been running on my truck for about a year has been great, idles a bit smoother, little more power and mpg and has a port for a external pmw valve. Just seeing if there is any interest in these price has to be determined yet, the block of aluminum to build them is pricey plus my time but a rough guess in the 100 dollar range. Please post up any comments, suggestions or ideas Thanks Mike
  9. hey would u care to maybe let us know your settings, what car and year your valve was from cause from my understanding there is two differant styles and what is this air gizmo you talk of? mike

  15. Hey guys whipped this up for anyone looking fr instructions Starion TPS upgrade instructions 1 - remove old TPS and cut off plug leaving enough wire to work with to connect to new tps. 2 - Match up wires on tps, the mazda colors are as follows -Black and red is ground -Blue and Yellow is signal -Green and red is power 3 - use some pliers to "squish" the mazda tps metal actuator slot so it fits snug on the starion plastic tps actuator ut still able to move on it. 4 - Remove plastic TPS actuator arm from starion tbi unit and trim approx 1mm off the top so it will fit into the new adapter and rotate freely, then reinstall on TBI 5 - Use supplied foam and cut a small piece to fit in the bottom of of the TBI unit where the small opening. 6 - Bolt on TPS adapter plate using supplied allen bolts. Optional for extra water and dust tightness you can use a small amount of silicone between the adapter and the starion TBI Unit. 7 - I available use a small amount of brake lube to lube the oring to aid in adjusting TPS. 8 - Install TPS with the oring between the adapter and your new TPS. Do not over tighten the tps mounting nuts....you may cause damage to the tps just snug past the point you can't turn the tps 9 - Adjust TPS as per FSM
