Importwarrior is correct Otis at midwestturbo did have them remake them, I know this because I did all the leg work but could not afford to get them done, They wanted me to buy 50 pairs to remake the springs and at the time I was belly up broke so I turned otis onto it. I think he's still got some forsale atleast he did last time I talked to him. You can call him at 563-370-9077. He's a great guy and has alot of knowledge on quests.

  3. Holy smokes, Never would have thought it would have costed that much... I went to Lowes and got everything to do mine for less than 5 bucks and even with new fluid,gasket, and filter I still have less than 50 bucks in my valve body mod...Sorry dude i had no idea they would be that much. But I know my man Nelson at ACC Performance has low prices but you might need to call him instead of email.

  6. Well my last dyno was 200rwhp at 15 psi on a 19c so if you figure in an auto car loses between 60-80hp in the drive tran. I have close to 260-280hp at the crank. I just ran at the dinwiddie meet in VA. 1/4 mile track. Best time was 14.2 @ 102 mph. That run was at 20psi. So if the best guess I have seen is correct, 8-10hp per pound of boost so that run I should have made some where around 250rwhp and 310-330hp at the crank. Granted I dont drive it daily at that boost and I have the valve body mod. But shes holding up nicely so far. I have found a guy that will make a custom stall converter and can order racing clutches and bands for our autos said stall would run about $375 and racing clutches and bands about $100-150. All the data above is based on things I have read and what my dyno guy says but I am getting ready to go back to the dyno to do some 20psi runs I will let you know what the result is..

Hey Monty I paid $110.00 bucks for it when I bought but I have no clue what they cost now and I probably got screwed when I bought it, I always endup paying three times what somethings is worth ..But you wont hurt my feelings no matter what your offer is just make something up and we will work it out from there.....

Hate that it happened but I cant afford to lose money on something that I wasnt making any on to begin with.   11. Ok bad news checked on trans last night and the case is crack all the way down the right side so now I have a trans for parts only best offer...Just my luck ...I guess its better to find out this way than to have started to do a conversion on my quest and find out it was cracked..

Injectors- 2 sec. and one primary 50 bucks each shipped. two are mine that I had cleaned and tested and one of the secondarys came from otis at midwest turbo that he had cleaned and tested. Also have: 5sp drive shaft , gauge cluster , 89 tail lights fair , burgandy sun visors 1 good 1 needs work, 88 stock mass air, a 1989 ignitor box, and a turbo rebuild kit for a stock turbo center section. all of these items are make an offer .   14. Well I have the same system but I am running two 96lb msd injectors and a 19c turbo. I still have tuning to do but last dyno at 15lbs boost was 197.8 rwhp and I think torque was like 270. Can do much better I think, but for what dyno tuning is costing me I think I am just going to go MPI next. No since in wasting money on tuning when I really want MPI anyway and I'll just have to re tune. But FIP is everything everyone says it is and more. LOVE driving my Quest again...

  22. Altough I am not running MPI I am running FIPPRO and had same issue. And it turn out to be accel enrichment bins set to low. Seems like nobody wants to talk about this subject but it is just as important as VE table. If these settings are to low your car will fall flat on its face when you slam the gas to the floor at take off to high and it will back fire. Here is what I have learned on my own. First off TPSdot Threshold no Lower than .977 no higher than 2 norm seems to be .977 Accel Bins "2 v/s and 4 v/s" are set for " tip in "on the accel pedal so they get set to help when you just tap the throttle or ease on the throttle also these will affect when you cruising at part throttle like on the highway. and " 8 v/s and 15 v/s" these are set for when you stomp the gas pedal to the floor. And here is where my problem was, my car would not rev good in park. I stomp the gas and it sounded like a weed eater on crack and from a dead stop I could stomp the gas and the car would not go. So I increased the " 8v/s" to 8.2 and the "15v/s" to 14 and now it revs fast and clean. But like with everthing else all cars will be different. What I did was set all bins to 0 and rev'ed the engine then added some to each until the motor rev'd fast and clean. Don't know if will help anybody but i has made a world of differance in my quest..
  23. I know, but i didnt care about making money I just wanted a inexpensive intake and the cheapest way to get it was to do a group buy. I'm just cheap ...plus I had heard that you werent going to do yours anymore, I really dont have time to do this if someone else is already going too. So with that said, anybody else reading this post see chad I'm out and chad do keep me posted as soon as you have these for sale. Glad to see your still doing the intake. And as always you seem to be on the cutting edge of suppling us with new and improved products for our cars. This buds for you.....later James
  24. Ok cool, Sorry Chad I didnt realize that you are still doing the custom intakes or I would not have bothered even trying to find somebody to do it. I dont care who or when or why I just want one and I dont want to pay through the teeth for it. PM prices for yours and when they will be available.   25. Ok so $500 for a hacked magna is good but $700 for a custom is steep? So what do we feel would be a good price for a custom intake and they are working on a image of the prototype for posting but for now I am just trying to get some idea if there is an interest and whether or not to waste their time and mine trying to do this I mean I will get mine but just thought it would be good for us to something else to choose from besides a hacked magna or a $1000+ hurricane.
