The clear plastic cover on the steering wheel had something nasty on it. I wet sanded it, used Plasti-X, buffed and polished... again happy with the results. Before. http://i57.tinypic.com/2vmefew.jpg After. http://i61.tinypic.com/f4mvk6.jpg

There was an aftermarket sony headunit installed.. the steering wheel controls didn't work and looked quite shabby... I removed the buttons, filled, sanded, filled, sanded, filled, sanded.... etc....... then painted. I'm happy with it. Some pics after head replacement, timing chains, and paint. Also replaced the 195 thermostat with a 180 thermostat. On June 18th 2015, my wife got me the best birthday present ever. She knew I was stuck on getting a Starion... and my baby made it happen. She's an 87 Starion ESI-R in Palermo grey. We purchased the car, knowing it had overheated and 2 cylinders were reading low compression. Here are some pictures from the seller's home the day I got her. http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/1.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/2.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/3.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/4.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/5.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/6.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/7.jpg http://mitsunation.club/MY%20CARS/8.jpg The initial walkaround. Start up before head replacement. First and second start up after head replacement.

thanks guys.. neither one will twist, the rear rubber boots on the back of the calipers are shot and have allowed crap to get in ... I've even soaked them with wd40 several nights in a row hoping to at least get them twist

I've posted a couple of times before months ago... when I had agreed to purchase a Starion, and the deal fell through... So, I found one... was a gift from my wife on my birthday June 18th, and thought I'd do an official intro.... Already put a ton of work into her... last thing before she's drivable are the brakes. The rear calipers are seized, both of them. This Starion is so different from my other Mitsu's, night and day And yeah, I'm a crazy Mitsu guy, just sayin'. My 87 Starion ESI-R.
