  1. Give away the starquest to the closest sq guru. Give funiture to goodwill Give clothes to the homeless Give Charlie Sheen a call and plan the party.
  2. High Performance Thermostat vs Factory Replacement Motorad High Performance 180 Thermostat 30 minutes of driving with 15 minutes of warm up after starting. Stopped by the gas station and let it run while I was inside. 20 minutes of idling. One mile later 15 minutes of idling after a few gears of full boost.
  3. Been looking at the Version 2 Dynomax VT muffler. Version 2 doesnt have the clanking noise like the first design. Currently have a straight thru oval canister on it now and the highway drone is nuts, your ears will hum after 70 miles when you get out the car. Anything long distance and you might as well use earplugs. Dynomax VT is suppose to eliminate the highway and idle drone when the internal spring operated valve closes a bit....
  4. Contact Turbo Lab on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/TurboLabAmerica Example of a friend who just had theirs done by them TD06SL2-20G Extended Billet 11 Blade, Bored and Extended Housing.
  5. Recommended not to use the middle port #3 in the "Attached" picture. Now in this picture, dont pay attention to the tee. The vac line port on the left needs to be blocked off. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d182/Professor-Quest123/Senders%20Sensors/SS-53.jpg You can either remove the egr and replace it with this block off plate you leave it there not connected. If you do use the plate then you will need shorter bolts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STARION-EGR-BLOCK-OFF-PLATE-CONQUEST-/380228308053?hash=item58875f8c55&vxp=mtr You can remove the vac solenoids from the bracket or remove the bolts from the tbi to remove the brackets. Best to do a TBI rebuild if you plan on removing the bolts cause you may start a coolant leak. Plus if you remove the brackets you will need either shorter bolts or a few washers, if you do remove the brackets be careful tightening the bolts back down cause one will most likely strip out.
  6. Use a plastic vac tee from the autoparts store
  7. Make sure the black injector is spraying at idle, no gas should be coming out the green one
  8. For about 450 bux you can get an inline Emp Stewart Water Pump, they flow around 55 gpm http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/emp-e558a-bk_w.jpg
  9. Before doing the above check the codes first. Open the glove box. Pull the left and right sides towards each other so the side stops allow the glovebox to swing all the way down. Up inside the dash is a rectangle male plug. One corner will be a black wire with a red stripe and the oppisite corner will be a black wire. The striped wire will be postive. Hook a 12 volt led to those wires. Turn the key to on but dont start it. Each code will blink a certain amount of times with a singal blink as a pause. Say it wanted to throw code 3 it would blink, blink, blink, then one blink for pause then another code. Report back with your findings.
  10. You can put the horn fuse on a toggle switch! Why? When the horn fuse blows the headlights dont come on making the thieves get a car they can drive at night.
  11. How did you check the fusible links?
  12. When the gaskets fail you can see fuel in the vac hoses. http://starquest.i-x.net/viewtopic.php?t=2599&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b71/questmanual/Throttle%20Body/TB-30.jpg
  13. Was the slave new or reman? On the remans they bore out the factory casing and install a oem kit which normally dont last that long. If you can shift while the car is off but not when its running then it an Hydraulic Issue. If you cant shift while the car is off then its a tranny issue.
  14. Cranking wont make it bounce. The Bounce is only when turned from off to on and its very slight.
  15. What does the noise sound like? tappy tap tap or spoon in a coffee can.
