  1. Ok so i got a 90 dsm knock sensor fits good. Got the plug and spliced solder the connection base timing is good and set at 10 btdc running 93 and car still has a spark knock. 18 psi stock motor stock turbo. Maft 3" mas 2.5" exhaust 2.25" hardpipes new and bigger b&p intercooler. RR FPR 41psi at idle. Just a narrowband right now. Pulls hard but wot it has a spark knock (predet) what has to be done bc ive ran my 383 stroker for my dirt track car on 87 a whole season with no issues and the 383 dynoed at 546hp with 87
  2. I race circle track dirt cars and i have catch can resivoirs on my cars due to the high banks and constant left turns that causes oil to stay in the valve pans. If i used one of these and put the return to the pan would this help with crankcase pressure? Also if i put a check valve in place of pcv like a crankvent would that help? Also on top of the catch can they are vented is that ok or no
  3. Scott can you tell me what i need to do to make this stop happening? What do i need to buy or use to correct this
  4. Still have the factory oil sep can and its not clogged at all. Its clean and clear. All the lines are clean and clear i can blow through everything fine and can blow through the line to the pan. Pcv is clean and new and yes it is the correct one. As of right now the car is fairly stock has maft gm 3" mas hardpipes 284 cam fic injectors 850 primary and 1150 secondary ported throttle body and areomotive rr fpr running 20psi with 12a clipped wheel and ported ex manifold and 2.5" exhaust with apexi n1 muffler egr delete. Even has charcoal canister for now
  5. So on my car I noticed that my dipstick keeps blowing out and I'm getting oil all over the place trying to figure out what could be causing this any help would be greatly appreciated
  6. So i am looking for some wheel spacers for my quest. Was wondering what type and where to get them. What is the centerbore of the adapters/spacers? I need 1" up front and 1.5" in rear for the rims i have. They are off of a hyundai genesis r spec coupe and the backspacing is a little off
  7. These rods are supposed to be really good. A speed shop here in pittsburgh uses rods from that company for his turbo honda and eclipse builds
  8. I also read somewhere that the 83 clutch fork and throw out bearing is different than the newer ones
  9. Look at the metal plate between the trans and engine block. Is it hitting the flywheel? I had a bent one on my parts car and thats why i bought it as a parts car. The guy i bought it from thought the motor had a rod knock. It was only the plate hitting the back of the flywheel. Also i would check your clutch plate and the pressure plate. I had a clutch plate come apart at tue sprung hub on the plate itself and made a knocking noise. Do you have the transmission out? If so check everything clutch related and also check the trans. My trans made a bad knocking after i blew third gear out and it did it in neutral but only if you didnt press the clutch in.
  10. Ok so im trying to find out if there are any knock sensors that can be used with our cars as a factory replacement for a stock computer setup still running oem dizzy and oem tbi.
  11. If i wanted a stock manifold with a modded ext w/g port i can do that myself with the several manifolds i have
  12. Off the subject, but an underdrive pulley "crank" would be smaller not bigger. The waterpump pulley would be bigger and crank pulley would be smaller. The "drive pulley" ie crank pulley would have to be smaller. " hence the term underdrive"

  14. Im not exactly sure what the best way would be to run it. Im not sure which lc1 wideband i even have. All i know is it is a innovate lc1 wideband and wideband controller that states it can be used with a 4 wire o2 or use a 1 wire 02 if connected through computer
  15. So i have an lc1 wideband by innovate and was wondering how to install it properly. Im still tbi and stock ign and stock fuel system and 1 wire o2 sensor
  16. Wow if ur piston measurements are that far out from piston top to skirt u need to get another set of pistons. Do you have a harbor freight around you? If so go buy a digital micrometer for around 15$ and get better readings. I have a set of pistons and reconditioned rods for sale. The pistons measure perfectly at 3.579 on top and on the skirts. Ive measured them several times and the rods are reconditioned with new stock rod bolts
  17. Intercooler piping wont be an issue. My new turbo is a garrett gt35r ballbearing turbo 4" inlet and 2.5" outlet. I planned on running my ic pipes through the holes in front of the fenderwells by the charcoal canister area and same on the driver side. If i raise the battery tray up 1.5" i can fit my ic piping under there. And im in the process of getting my uncle whos a machinist to make a throttle body top hat and mixer for tbi that points to the front of the car. The intake is being made right now out of aluminium and going to use 75mm throttle body. Im thinking of using 950cc and 1350cc injectors. Still going to be tbi. Motor is going to be dropped in over the winter. .40 over with je pistons 8.5:1 comp ratio a ported marnel head with +2 mm stainless valves and a custom grind cam. Not sure how its going to run or hp yet but wont run like sqrescue tbi king lol
  18. Ok so my buddy got rearended in his evo lastnight and car is totalled. Hes taking all his upgraded parts off. He has a direct bolt on upgraded mishimoto intercooler and i was wondering if it would work on my car. It has 2.5" in and out on both sides coming out near the bottom at a 45 angle. It will fit in my frame rails and is 10" tall. I was planning on using 2.5" piping with the new turbo. Does this sound feasable without alot of hacking

  20. Sounds to me like you need a mechanic or somebody that knows these cars to come take a look.
  21. Did u bend the plate between the trans and motor and its hitting the flywheel? Just another thought
  22. Wow that sounds horrible!!!!! Is there an issue with ur trans???? When i blew third out of my trans mine made a noise just like that when i left the clutch out in neutral. Does it do it with the clutch pushed in??
