  1. Thanks! I was surprised as well. I wasn't sure how it would look but it's growing on me. Yes definitely need the tuck. Putting the coils on after the rebuild.
  2. Varrstoen ES6 19x9.5 ET22 Tires- General GMax 265/30/19 all around. No rubbing at all! Front- no spacers Rear- 25mm spacers Going to drop the car on coils after the engine rebuild and see how that works out. Right now it has good factory SHP suspension all around. http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/C05831FF-1BB6-44E6-B373-359E2D4EDB0F.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/0CB97279-E9F8-48E6-AAC2-C5CD1D00F8F3.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/2C97136E-EB90-4F8B-8BED-31E9C185B106.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/69F7EDAA-E94E-4A53-8966-5DC9563656CC.jpg
  3. Bump! Update with the car off jack stands. I think it looks good but not as good as my SHPs! : ) Unfortunately it's getting towed to a shop because I believe it needs a rebuild and I lack room to do so : (
  4. All links are new and ground point are clean and tight
  5. What I mean by remote starter switch is actually a tool that allows you to turn over the engine without allowing spark or fuel with the key in the off position. When I take that tool off and use the key to start the car the starter does nothing. No clicks nada. No fuel at the injectors. Ics does buzz and pump primes.
  6. my 89 quest starter does nothing with the key but does turn with a remote starter switch. The coil is not sparking the the injectors have no fuel but pump primes when turning the key. Any ideas as to what could be the issue? Been working on this car for three years. (Mainly due to family life) I have a FRM and I'm trying to narrow down the issue(s) Any input would be appreciated.
  7. I had some Varrstoen ES6 rims laying around and thought I'd find out if they fit the quest. They fit! Now I can put my SHPs in storage! Specs are as follows Varrstoen ES6 5x114.3 19x9.5 ET22 Front- no spacers Rear- 25mm spacers 265/30/19 all around Everything is flush and just clears suspension components http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/6A596201-4FB7-499F-8DE5-C4E1C2932EA3.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/69F7EDAA-E94E-4A53-8966-5DC9563656CC.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/2C97136E-EB90-4F8B-8BED-31E9C185B106.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/0CB97279-E9F8-48E6-AAC2-C5CD1D00F8F3.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g388/ipimpslpmstngs/Mobile%20Uploads/C05831FF-1BB6-44E6-B373-359E2D4EDB0F.jpg

  11. Spencer I'll take the bottom end if it's still available? I'll take the radiator, ignition box and tach adapter. PayPal or cash when I pick up the block?
  12. Adjustment screws on the mechanical valves. When I did the valve springs I removed the cam and valves. I did lable each valve so I know where the went. I never adjust the valves after I did the work listed above.
  13. Forgot to mention the car has bse. So if the cam gear dowl pin is @ 12, dimple @ 3, and crank is at tdc along with #1 piston all the way up how could it be off?
  14. Ok here is the whole story. I purchased my 89 fiji shp with custom turbo mani & njvh from a member known as dirtydevin aka Devin Shaw almost 2 years ago. Brought the car home smoking at idle and driving. Did a compression test-(135 all across),head gasket, ARP studs because i noticed it still had bolts, and adjusted the gm translator. When i removed the head i found some nice looking pistons measuring 1.0mm. Did another comp test with same #s. The car still smoked the same. Found the turbo seals were no good and had slight play so I sold the turbo as a rebuild to a member here. Bought a similar brand new turbo from Bisimoto.com Installed the turbo and smoke went away significantly but the turbo needed a better drain system. I decided to do valve seals and Schneider hd valve springs for good measure and fix the turbo oil drain. It's been a year since I did that work and things got in the way for me to finish. This past weekend I adjusted the valves 4 times and I do not have any compression. The timing marks line up but still zero. I am lost at this point. I paid $1200.00 for a 89 shp fiji with sunroof. Still has great oem adjustable suspension! I feel I did well with the purchase. I won't give up. I'm in need of some help please. Thanks
  15. My buddy who works at TurboXs wants to buy this as a throwback lol
  16. Definitely a good deal since they sell for over $100.00. The old design is pretty much the same as the new. Only difference is color and the black o-rings on the dial. You should have no problem selling this especially to a fiji owner ; )
  17. That's the original design. Haven't seen one of those in a while lol. Cool blue! : )
