100+ thousand, what is the other car? that is your daily driver -
Miami Vice did this with a shark body vette until they reached baller status and Ferrari gave them one.

1989 Conquest 67K miles - Auto
TSIboostman replied to SRT6's topic in eBay/ Craiglist notices and alerts
that is a very clean car, I thought about buying it now but the distance, shipping it to me and then having to repair the rust combined with the auto to 5 speed swap makes it not worth it for me but someone will buy that thing. It looks like easy fixes -
I went round and round with a dude on selling his custom 240sx. I was willing to pay him cash and his asking price but he wanted a trade of some sort? Well buddy I am not trading you an EVO or an STI for your old custom 240 regardless of how nice it looks, sorry. If you do not want to sell something then do not list it for sell, which is why I never respond to ads without any type of asking price. Those are fishing ads for people looking for money or items worth way more than what they have. I would not be one of the ones coming up to you, and your ae86 anywhere if I see it out and about. I do not even do that for the new FRS / BRZs. Now if it was a clean original Starquest that would be a different story.

No mileage listed, looks like a nice car but when they have no price listed. then I feel scared to call and ask tthen try not to die from laughter. you can import these from Japan over 25 years old for 2-3 grand primo examples with low low miles and JDM cars on top of that.

any rust underneath??
-
yeah this car spent from 1991 to 2006 in Michigan probably longer than that. and it has no mileage reported on any entries which looks fishy? Taken with everything together I would be hard pressed to give 5 grand for this. I really have doubts about the car overall and in order for a starquest to bring 8-10 grand it has to be documented better than that. I still see the same starquests for sale for 6 grand or so after a few years so that indicates to me that there is not a whole lot of 6 grand starquest buyers and even fewer 8-10 grand starquest buyers. Most on this board and the people who buy these cars will get one for 500 to a grand then put 2-3 grand in them and have the car they want. I saw a pristine gold conquest with 50 thousand miles not hit reserve at 6 grand a few months ago and this car will not sell IMO at this price. I have owned 3 of these cars and have not give over 5 grand for any two of them.

I saw the car and thought the decals were off and assumed a repaint plus the rear hatch does not line up properly leading me to believe the car may have had some body work done on it. If it was primo showroom condition then I could see 8-9 grand for it as it sits looks like a 5 grand car IMO.

Quest in autotrader.....
TSIboostman replied to dmdvzla's topic in eBay/ Craiglist notices and alerts
I avoid Florida cars for this very reason, everyone one there misrepresents their rides and the climate eats these cars away period. You know there is rust or will be all over everywhere after a while. just stay away from Florida cars. -
where on earth did you see a 73,000 dollar quest hopefully that was 7300. do not get the fascination with the ae86 but Supras are pretty cool.

1988 Mitsubishi STARION ESi-R COLLECTORS EDITION
TSIboostman replied to OPTIMUSPRIME's topic in Cars for sale
isn't that the one you bought earlier in the year? why are you already selling it? -
I have one of my cars on ebay right now, how bad is the frame rail rust? and will it need to be cut out and then rewelded pieced back in? that car is NICE and looks well done.
-
Yeah, I want my 88 Starion black on black back too but I think I will never see it again and if I did it will be in a lot worse shape than when I owned it. I feel you on the regret of sale thing, sucks but all you can do is find another.

TSIboostman replied to Godson's topic in Cars for sale
this is true but classic cars have fallen a lot and 7-15 grand sure does buy some nice late 60s early 70s GTOs, Trans Ams and Mopars. I have no problem giving a fair price for the right car but it has to be realisitc. -
