does the flatty have the same fuel injectors as the wide body cause if so i may be interested in them

also thought i'd post that i am able to fix the rust on the car i just can't afford it right now but if somebody wanted to buy the car i could fix the rust and paint the car at the cost of the paint supplies and supplies needed to fix the rust. This summer i will have earned my collision repair certificate from the collage i am attending

I have a 1986 Mitsubishi starion with the R04 paint code runs and drives and i drive it daily and it has been relatively reliable, it is rusty but no structural rust i was going to fix it during my auto collision classes but would take longer than i have before i graduate. I'd like to get 1200 but for the right offer i would sell it. I've got more then 2000 in the car.Has an ebay hardpipe, over the valve cover pipe. car comes with an extra engine block that need balance shaft bearings and a oil pump need nothing else and 2 exhaust manifolds, extra cooling fans,another throttle body,another turbo that needs rebuilt,and other random stuff i have never gone through What i've done since i have owned it: Replaced the engine with a rebuilt one i got for my birthday Replaced the transmission with one from an 87 quest I replaced the fuel injectors with good factory ones Replaced the turbo with a good factory turbo New gaskets for the engine has a different MAF out of an 86 will have new cv shaft boots on the driver side they are starting to crack, interior is in good shape other than the pedal covers are gone,as is the factory radio and the previous owner cut the plugs off the radio wiring harness and the rear seat on the driver side has a place where the seam stitching has broken but could be re stitched I am Located in Luther Iowa and yes i would ship the car if somebody wants it bad enough. also the car has a sun roof and leather seats I must also include that i do not need to sell my Starion, I just want to see it go to someone that will fix it up since at the moment i don't have the time or funds to do it my self need it gone to make room in garage

my oil pressure was reading the same way when i first got my car and when i put the new engine in it was still reading low like that put an aftermarket oil guage that is the type with the plastic line on it and it was reading totally different so might be a bad or dirty sending unit for the guage as for the knock have you checked the tension on the timming chains cause that could be the cause for both of your problems

antbody know where i can buy them or what others will work with my 86. went to do brake pads and got 3 of them changed just fine and got to the drivers rear and quess what i found it looks like someone tried to use vicegrips to take one of the bolts out ! anyhelp would be awesome

not sure if i should post this here but i'm looking for a starquest shell preferably one that has the axles in the rear and the front complete so if needed i can just put 4 wheels on it to move it around doesn't need the cv joints or any other parts other than the rockers and i would prefer that the rust is very minimal . like none on the inner wheel wells or on the inner rockers am looking for one around iowa but for the right price would drive up to as far a texas to get it

check www.car-part.com don't know what the r154 trans is out of so check this site if you know its a site that lists parts from salvage yards all over the US and canada and mexico

do you have the factory injectors if so send them out to get cleaned and flow tested and if they are good put them back in i bought a set of trilogy injectors and my car ran good with the MAF unhooked but like crap with it plugged in i sent my stock injectors off and had them cleaned and now it runs fine with the maf plugged in < just something to check even if yours are brand new my trilogy's were aswell

can you post a picture of the damaged fender i have access to a professional collision repair technician may be ale to work out a way to just fix the one you already have would include painting it for you

My starion does something like that aswell. Does it seem to sputter and miss when it is doing that ?

bulbs are either good or bad if they work part of the time i'd say check the connections for the lights at the switches and then the plugs at the radio could be the ground on the radio is loose or not connected that cause mine to only work part of the time, do you have guage lights?

Also helps to have a heated garage

my 5sp is the same way when its cold and i'm running exactly what the FSM says to run and my clutch linkage is fine if you start the car before you go anywhere and let it run for a few minutes the gear oil in the trans will heat up enough to allow smooth shifting as stated it only does it when its cold out yesturday was 56 degrees and no problems when i left for the day
