  1. ^^ haha yeah ive been on there for maybe 4 years? since my first sc back in 07. same username, on virtually every single web forum out there lol. i recently got this black one, did a bunch of stuff to it, and was planning on an NA-T build, but with that, i lost interest in it too. I think once everything sells, Im going to look into getting a MarkIV supra. But, yes. the car sold yesterday to a local guy, and i think a forum member.
  2. ill sell the sunroof for about 18oo, and i'll toss a running car in for free! lol. I put in a new battery today and drove it for a bit. still looking to sell. thanks.
  3. Okay so I think I left the ignition on last time I started the car and now the battery is dead. I have no time for this car anymore and it is now kinda in the way of the shop owner and i have no where else to put it.. Anyone with an offer can take it off my hands.

  6. Thanks man. I'd love to keep it and just rock out in it. but it isnt practical as a secondary car. i gotta pay for another month of storing it next week if i still have it. Id like to sell it soon as possible.
  7. Thanks man! yeah the r-title sucks, so with that in consideration, I'd consider any decent offer on the car. I'd like to get a car I could drive in the snow, since my Lexus is slammed to the ground on coilovers.

  9. ^^hmmm. that looks identical to my issue. I will check that too. if it is, what did you do to fix the issue?
  10. yeah, i noticed the oil gauge was all the way up. im running BPR7E plugs, and timing was set 10BTDC. didnt do a compression test yet, i picked up the bottom end off a forum member from his running SHP. Car starts perfect and runs fine, just cant go WOT with it. it always had this issue, even with the previous owner, But after working on the car, wastegate wasn't even hooked up, IC pipes were all loose, nor were manifold bolts tight so i take everything that I was told with a grain of salt. I'll look into the injector issue. it does make a lot of sense.
  11. bump for a legit dude. Tony, i finally got a chance to swap the bottom end in. works like a champ, no smoke, no noise. just tackling electrical issues now.

  13. ohhh lol yeah i didnt try to drive it without the MAF. but id safely assume it wont run right. The pins were good, i checked that to make sure. the Injector were green and black, yes. i'll give that a shot, if not, i guess ill look into replacing it the injector. off the top of your head, do you know the CC rate on the secondary injector?
  14. its an 88 Conquest. in the video, im holding the throttle at 1/4-1/2 throttle. it'll rev to 4k, then drop rpm like that. if i give it 100% it'll cut out like at the end of the video. Once i unplugged the MAF, it revved all the way out, slightly choppy, but it revved better than when the MAF was connected.

  16. I put in a new motor this week. finally finished it, re-did a lot of vacuum lines and other bs stuff with the car. It always had the issue, but since it needed a motor, i'd figure to start with a new motor, then figure it out. When i do unplug the MAF, it revs all the way out, just revs and runs extremely rich. heres the vid. am i facing a bad MAF? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R60UkLs0N6I its sideways at the moment, waiting on the edit to save on youtube. bare with me on that lol
  17. frigggin wish i read that yesterday! forgot to put sealant on the timing chain side of the head and block. guess ill be pulling the head off tomorrow. danggggg!

  20. ^^ awesome. just trying to clean it up a bit in the bay, make sure whoever had it before me didnt do anything else funky.
  21. yup, aftermarket gauge.. there was definitely no vacuum line to the wastegate. I'll be sure to route some vacuum to it. it made no sense to me but then again maybe there was some weird trick that i havent known about or something. thanks for confirming.
  22. first off, Im new to the Starquest field, but not to performance mods. Today i finally got a chance to pull the motor and swap bottom ends. I noticed that the turbo's internal wastegate had no vacuum lines to the ports and that the wastegate exhaust side was blocked off with a plate. now the car still boosted 17psi, and i have not done any mods to the car yet. Is this something that is common on these cars? i can tell the car has been slightly modded before. any ideas?
