I was able to find a replacement T/C here transmissionpartsusa.com They can also have them sent out and rework the internals on them for higher stall applications but thatis a bit costly a few hundred extra in the end it may be a bit cheaper but definately alot more benificial as faras shiuft kits/torque converters,Valve bodies ETC. to make an adapter for the use of a different/domestic auto trans,i have the pattern for mopar SB V-8 904/727/A500OD & A518 OD,for the bell houseingand for the spacer for the crank ,useing the Chrysler flywheel and a brass drift to hold in back of the existing holes wels the old crank bolt circle holes closed,grimnd it smooth after you are dont and useing the SQ flywheel as a pattern redrill the new center anchoring hole and bolt circle,i can mail the patterns if you are interested,cannot e mail them because you cannot print them, in the correct size

Do yourself a big favor and remember if you have the crank shaft turned/cut make sure that your machine shop has the capablity and if not atleast access to a place that performs and or chemically treats crank shafts (Nitride Treating)I hope I spelled that correctly., the starquest cranks are nitride treated and will start knocking within 500 miles if the crank is not retreated,without the treating the bearing journal is actually very soft and easily scored due to being soft because when it is cut down for under sized bearings the hardened surface is removed exposeing the softer metal that was not effected by the chemical treating when it was new.,the crank shafts are treated from the factory before the rotating assembly is installed in the engine block, this special chemical treating that is performed on all starquest 2.6 engine's crank shafts actually harden's the crank shaft if you only polish the crank and use standard size rod and main bearings you will be fine, the treatingis fairly inexpensive (between 80.00 and 125.00 depending on shop)

david purchased a 17c turbo from my brother inlaw,he was sent photos and all info he had,He then contacted my brother inlaw and said it wasnt right and wanted 50.00 because he was unhappy with it and he thought that was fair, David was offered to recieve a full refund,all he needed to do is send it back and it would be sold and he would get his money refunded in full includeing shipping!so i guess if he gets 50.00 it's correct then???it fixes the concern of the size of the opening of the mouth of the turbo?i think he is trying to scam my brither inlaw he is makeing statements of buyer beware,if it was a true concern and it was myself i would let the seller know about it,see what he is willing to do and get a refund,NOT ask for 50.00 to make it all better!!David didnt realize someone here knew mthe person he bought the turbo from,and when he could not scam a 50.00 refund he was upset and wanted to reuin business for him if a seller 0ffers to refund your money i think thats commendable business practice!i see alot of bad deals going on and when you are offered a refund in full be happy and give a pos recommendation that they stand behind their deals and refunded your money when you werent happy, I think he wants to just get 50.00  ,so beware of doing business with this person if you do then please  do as my brother inlaw has KEEP copies of all message's as proof of your transaction and statements Rob

A fund to help is a great idea! as we all know when we didnt have 1 of the beautiful cars and finally bought 1 it made life better,and after in sure saveing and shopping and then waiting for a delivery was bad enough ,but looseing the car and the money would be enough to justify going POSTAL! so where should we send some money or does someone have a engine ant 5 speed if this body i have can be picked up ill donate it and he can concentrate on the legal matter and have some bit of relief of atleast haveing a car,wont replace the money but it will be a start if anyone can pick this up and deliver it call me at 715 298 0467 88 elec blue,5 speed quest, im picking up another 1 soon for 200.00 same cond,same color,so i will donate this 1 Rob

i removed all my posts because i said things out of anger and wanted to state just the last reply,a spitting game will get this no where,i would like to settle this and get on with things ,and as for altering the arrangement tyes i did i asked for the retraction so no farther damage would be done,because when it would have all been done and over there would have been to much to read and most would not have read all of it and understood it all,so yes i replied to all of this but i think my previous statement was the simplest way to deal with this that way we both were finished with it and all would have seen it so whatever you want Tyler,im suppose to trust you to makle a retraction after you get everything?is that your idea of give and take?give and ill get around to it later,this way i have some damage control,waiting i have no way of knowing what will happen,all you would have had to do is open a box!! and cash a money order after recieveing a tracking number,hell you work for ups they could look inside when imther ans see what was in it when i sent it,you say you have so much juice there why dont you do that???to easy?/?or were you just going to leave all you acusations and go on your happy way?

tyler i was willing to send you your stuff,I did not take what i wanted(a set of 15.00 used injectors)I WAS WILLING,but i am not willing to bend over again with this situation,we conversed and decieded to settle this,I lost a potential deal over this and told Tyler to post his retraction about being a THIEF,I AM NOT,i said he should do this when he recieved the tracking numbers,we have had members involved in this ordeal from the start for both our benefits but Tyler wants to blackmale and play GOD,im sorry this does not happen in the real world,childrens games dont play out that way,[glow=red,2,300]Anyone past or present members of starquestclub or anywhere please post any bad transaction that you have had with me!!!!!!!![/glow] I doubt there will be any posted,WHY??? because there are not any to post!!!! Actually what im doing is transfer the shaft from the 2.6 dist oin to the chrysler 1 from the base where the dist goes in the head to the top where the staror is ,its the same so if i get the shaft to mount to the stater then it will comtact the cam gear correctly and work, but the dist u have might work aswell i will look in to it and see after i get this running thanks for the info every little bit helps Rob

ALMOST done doing the distributor modification(have to use the HALL style signal for the chrysler ECU to recognize and fire) and will try fireing it up!

Man i guess i got really lucky with these then, they work great definately a BIG improvement over the stock 89's i had in the car so i guess its buy then at your own risk,i was only trying to help others with a solution to needing injectors and not paying 750.00 a set

I really do not know what they were originally,david lidell had them done and i recieved them in the trade for his car and used them on the wifes,they are by far better then the original ones!atleast her car is running i started the new 1 i traded for and the engine seized up in 5 minutes,oil pick up loose!so if i can get the SDS EM3 fixed i  got with the car i guess everything is going in her car now and will most likely be selling the injectors off to get some money back out of this nightmare:'(

I reicently installed a set of VENOM -Python injectors,made from our stock cores,200 each for the rebuild and +40% flow increase,with the 1Gmas air conversion it boosts great 22 PSI and no feul cut!!!pulls to 6800 RPM strong no flat spots for the money if you have a bad set of injectors this is the way to go!!!this car (MY Wifes TSI)has a 19c turbo,tep cam and OVC pipe and blowoff,down pipe and 2.5 in exhaust with Dynomax muffler,HD street strip clutch the A/f meter reads good never lean,and exhaust temp is 1200-1300 under hard boost condition not that i believe it but G-Tec Pro estimates HP at 397 and quarter mile at 12:50s so i believe it should be in the 13s somewhere consistantly this isnt bad for stock 89 ECU and original intake and throttlebody

i have a 89 quest with a magna intake and sds, not running yet! before i finish im wireing in a Mopar SEMC(single engine management control) ECU from a turbo sundance 88 and up,located on driver side inner fenderwell in front by battery,that can be bought cheaply from any bone yard and get the wireing diagram from any chiltons! it uses a map sensor tps,coolant temp,02 and isc if this works they sell performance versions for under 250.00 and all that would need to be done is modify your orig intake to acept 4 injectors,and wire it in. ill let you guys know what happens
