Bump, really could use this. Mine literally fell apart

I installed the MR2 Inserts in front and rear of my quest. I got empty threaded housings for the rear and Mookeeh even sent the gland nuts needed for the MR2 inserts with them. They work pretty well. Car feels a lot stiffer.

16 years ago I was 14 and didnt know what a Starion/Conquest was. As a teen I went through quite a few cars and am glad that now being older, I have the maturity to own a Conquest. These things take dedication that as a teenager I lacked.

The holes in the trans tunnel are probably from material being drilled out to make room for a larger trans. I believe the trans tunnel is "two layered" and one layer can be cut out to fit a larger trans. I would fill them in on both sides then repaint. As for the holes you see that are rusty, get a good wire wheel and clean the rust off. Primer and paint them. Then buy new body plugs. Measure the size and get the ones you need. They are pretty much universal rubber pieces.

are you using mechanical or hydraulic rockers and if you are using mechanical rockers, did you use the Porsche "elephant foot" manual adjusters?

Yup that is what happened to mine. It would start to lean out and run in closed loop then maybe two to three minutes later go full rich and stay there.

You can get some nice "body kits" from Australia. They make the flattys look meaner but not rice.
