UPDATE: I bled the system of the old brake fluid and cleaned out the brake reservoir. It had black gunk at the bottom of it. I put the need brake fluid in and bled it again really good. I test drove the car and its not dragging anymore. I think it just needed new brake fluid...
What do you think?
Thank you guys for all your help:)

When I bleed the brakes I did not hook a hose to them.

Thanks for the info again. I will find the valve and clean it out.Un-maintained ABS canisters are notorious for locking up the rear brakes. You can find info on deleting the ABS here and here. (I bought a flexline from Summit Racing instead of bending my own line but you can do it either way.) The proportioning valve is bolted to the firewall below the brake booster. Mine was filled with junk. I think that removing the ABS canister can cause the proportioning valve to work differently because you are removing about 10 feet of brake line so be aware that your rear brakes may start to lock up after a while if you decide to do the delete. Wilwood sells a proportioning valve that I have ordered and am going to be installing soon.
EDIT: I have found that searching using the starquestclub search you can rarely find acronyms like abs because they are three letters. If you search on google something like "site:starquestclub.com abs delete" you can get a lot better results. FYI.

Not yet...but its not pulling the lever on the caliper at all.Have you tried disconnecting the ebrake and driving around to see if that's it.

How do you delete the abs you are talking about?

Thanks for the replies guys...I will start by replacing the rubber lines and drain the system.
Where is the proportioning valve located at so I can clean that out?

I got some new remanufactured calipers from autozone and installed them. I'm still having the same problem with the rear brakes dragging a little...(both rims are still a little hot) the e brake is adjusted to be more loose so this is not making the brakes drag.
What else can you recommend looking at?
Thanks

Had a mechanic replace my rear pads. After 1 week or so...I noticed a brake smell after driving it. I touched both rims and they were both warm/semi hot.
After another week...it went away. This lasted 2 weeks and the brakes started grabbing again...When I was driving one day...I tried to pull the ebrake up and down real hard to see if it would help release the grab but it made it worst...the brakes were really grabbing/locking now and then I had to pull over.
The brakes were locked up and the car would not move. I sat there for an hour to let it cool and tried to go again and it released to the normal grab and I got it home.
Can someone tell me what to check for?
Could it be the E brake need adjusting?
Its a 87 starion ESI.

It was clogged. Did what you told me and it solved the problem. Thanks again.

I really appreciate the very informative info. I will check the drain to see if its plugged up now that I know where to look.
Thanks

Just got my a/c running and I noticed when I make a left turn that some water started leaking by the passenger feet area now. I took the plastic cover off to check it and I could not find anything. The a/c and heater still works fine. I also opened the hood and noticed the a/c going to the firewall was frozen...is this normal?
Do you know what this could be?

I also will contact palmero about the thermo switch.

Send the pics if you can of the relays. Thankz

thanks for the replies. let me know it would cost.to ship to 76135.

I need condenser fan relay (12v 20 amp), a/c relay (12v 2o amp), and the thermo switch in front of the car.
Where can I order these parts? Thanks for any help.
-
how much for the relays in the engine compartment shipped to 76135?
-
Also what does the blue/red wire control and where does it go to? Look at the pic.
-
where can I get another a/c fan relay? I plug it into the other relay next to it and still the fan is not turning on Also where are the temp sensors for the a/c fan?
-
It might be worth pulling the radiator and having a shop clean it.
SQ are bad about collecting debris between the ac and radiator at the bottom, so when you pull the radiator you can clean all that crap out of there real good.
Spend some time straightening fins if they are all mashed.
And the fan shroud is supposed to SEAL to the radiator. There was originally a foam piece between the two that is probably long gone. Some cheapy closed cell weatherstripping helps.
I will take it off and take to a shop. Yes the seal is gone. Thanks
-
No its just water after I washed it. Lol. Thanks for the information guys. I will check the relay and temp sensor.

the main fan is. I dont see the small one moving.

I was thinking about flushing it but do I need to take the whole radiator out to flush it?

When i try to give it alot of gas....it starts to sputter. Especially going down the highway and the press the pedal to kick it into passing gear and it sputters.
I notice on the turbo gage it starts to sputter at the 3 mark approx....
What can I check?
