You can run 2 to the body ground but it might have more resistance that way. To make it simpler go from battery to block then from block back to body ground. Just make sure that both points at the block and body are clean of any rust and other crud. Also use a star washer that will help with have a better connection. Like this

What i did was to run a ground back from the block to where that lug was bolted to or you can try and uncrimp and crimp it on that new cable

Just ot back from getting alot of stuff off of it. There was no motor or trans and pretty much everything under the hood was stripped off clean. I did get the front bumper cover and support which was a new with the fogs and turn lens, header panel, corner lites, door sill plastics, driverside seat bely track with motor, both door panels with window switches (mint), misc panels, clock , dimmer, and some odds and ends for $135. The front seats are in great condition I think they were recovered, I asked and they said $165 for both the rear are also in great condition but didnt ask for a price

Well my brother just got a 89 that had a rod knock. They guy he got it from said the motor was a TEP performance built one. After taking it apart and sending it to the machine shop to see what made the bearing fail it came down to very for machine work and the lack of cleaning the oil galleys. So now Im looking for a good crank and a set of rods (dont need pistons) that I can have my machine shop recondition for me.
