  1. Ok guys, after a year of waiting I finally got my refund last night from Julian, I was asked to clean up my posts and I felt as though it would be a fair trade, I'm a man of my word! I've deleted over half my posts and will finish up the other half tomorrow, I can now complete my Montero thanks to Julian's refund! Hope the best for the rest of you!
  2. Julian man, I've left you alone, wheres my money? 325 all the way back in march of last year? feelium6@hotmail.com, thats my paypal account!
  3. It's getting closer, Randy has done an awesome job on this rebuild, cant wait to get her bolted back up and ready to run. http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/p2050022.jpg http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/p2050023.jpg http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/p2050025.jpg http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/p2050026.jpg
  4. Here's a quick update guys, the block is clean enough to eat off of lol, I'm not use to seeing 2.6 blocks not covered in years of grease and oil residue. http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/mcie1.jpg
  5. Hey guys I was just wondering if you have to have a title notarized in South Carolina to have it transfered over to Ohio. The car came from South Carolina, however the title was never notarized, he only signed the back of the title... Thanks, any info would be great!
  6. Yeah I believe the Quest went to the best possible home, she's now in Dad and Bills hands.
  7. At the moment I've been thinking about putting pace setter headers and a little more aggressive exhaust system on the montero, I don;t know what else I could really do, rather than a webber swap!
  8. I would like to thank both Dad and Bill for helping with the engine removal, its great to know good people still exist! After a few hours they were on their way back to the shop with my former quest and engine block from the Monty. I didn't have time to resize the images, however I will tonight when I get home from work! Here's a few quick pictures until I can edit them further and post them all. Sorry for the large dimensions, these were directly taken from my iphone. http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/Montero_Bay.jpg http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/Montero_Motor.jpg http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/Starion_Buttoned_down.jpg
  9. I'm in the midst of restoring a 1989 SWB Montero 2.6. I will be posting pictures come tomorrow. Dad and I are working things out concerning the block/cylinder head rebuild. I also have to let my 87 Quest go, time, money and space are far to pinched to make both vehicles happen. I'll be getting married come October and the wife needs a super reliable 4x4 for transporting the gremlins, we plan to restore everything from the ground up. I purchased the Montero from a kid in Columbus Ohio, he was asking $1500 but took $700. The rig has zero rust rather the the roof line (very minimal) and the underbody still has the factory under spray as it was a South Carolina vehicle. I plan to have it buttoned up by MOD (Mitsubishi Owners Day) at the Normal IL plant this summer. Pictures will be posted tomorrow! P.S. I do believe Dad will be looking to purchase a Montero after he gets a taste, these things are like crack (I thought the Starion was bad) lol. http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/Montero_Front_1.jpg http://p6.hostingprod.com/@thefuturefaceofamerica.com/monstarion/Starion_Front_R_1.jpg
  10. He called me a few nights ago, I believe he will be getting mine out soon.
  11. i'm still waiting on pictures of my almost finished turbo. He said he received the wrong 2 dollar seal???
  12. just wondering when my turbo is going to ship? haven't heard any updates???
  13. Looks like my turbo didn't ship out on Friday, no tracking number? I'm shocked to discover this!
  14. I would not remove my posts for the sake of the next person. This whole situation reeks or lies and deceit! I was told two weeks, it's been 6 months +. I was told he was jobless, unable to work due to a broken ankle, had a car accident, death in the family, received a broken bolt which was to complete my turbo, had issues with his g/f and now he's short on used wheels? Oh yeah and received a bunch of junk cores? I know for a fact my core was in mint shape rather than the bearings. If I receive my turbo and it works perfectly fine, great! However, I refuse to delete any posts!!! Call me a vigilante if you will, I'm just looking out for on coming customers he will constantly lie to and not deliver what was promised and paid for.
  15. Well guys I'm going to spend sometime on the computer today researching Julian's record, since the county he resides in will have any information of misdemeanors or felonies... I feel like thats the best place to start? If you could provide me with the time you shipped your core, what you paid and whatever information you have on top of that, I'd be more than happy! I have both his address and his girlfriends, as I think he's using her as a vessel to further scam us.
  16. Don't worry, we may not receive our money or turbo, however Julian will be setting behind bars! One of my best friends went through a similar situation and the guy who scammed him ended up in jail, after serving his term he was forced to find employment and pay back all those who he ripped off! Tomorrow I'm calling and informing the PD about this situation, you guys can either add your two cents or I will for you! Julian, this was a last resort situation, but I'm just as broke as you!
  17. This is beyond crazy. As soon as I get my turbo back I'm taking it to my local diesel shop, having them break the turbo down and see if it's legitimate enough to use before I mount this thing on and try to use it!
  18. I don't think he does as he asked me if I needed the exhaust housing and waste gate, both of which I sent with my turbo!
  19. Randy is hands down the best "Starquester" to buy parts from! Good products, great prices and you don't feel like someone stuck a huge knife in your back after the sales transaction is finalized!
  20. Alright the power-shifting comment made me roll out of the my seat. However guys, lets not forget we all started out some where? Sure his Quest has seen better days but I've also seen cars far worse that were totally restored (at-least I think so)? I give this guy an A+ for even thinking about restoring this car. From RAT ROD to HOT ROD, best of luck my friend! May you have GOD SPEED and a quick clean Car Cancer recovery!
  21. It's evident man, your note means nothing!!! More than one of us have yet to receive our turbo which we paid for and more than one of us have received a leaking smoking mess of a rebuilt turbo!!!
  22. Can't believe this, kinda brings a tear to me eye! However, I understand where he's coming from... I had to buy a Montero due to my turbo not being shipped back to me from Ragdoll, Fall is too close and its not an ideal winter ride esp when you have a 3 and 4yr old in the back seat!!!
  23. Maybe if I start pushing my car now I can make it to the meet by the 14th, as for the burn out (it's not gonna happen)
  24. I talked to Julian once again and I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt... Rome wasn't built in one week.
