  1. That is a pretty clever idea. I just don't see the major advantage over a restrictor fitting? I feel like it'd be more expensive too Interesting though, I think that'd be kinda cool. lol -Justin
  2. not only can you use it to change the base fuel pressure, but the stock FPR can only handle a 10psi rising rate, give or take. IE, it maxes out at 10psi over base, which would be 10 psi boost. At 16-17 psi I have instuntanious lean outs for a split second that causes a mis fire and suspect the FPR. so, an ARRFPR will keep the fuel supply adequite for higher boost. -Justin
  3. boosted, how did you utilize the GM MAF- 1G adapter harness you linked up there ^? I'm purchasing this in the next day or two. I have a GM MAF, but no plug or harness for the GM MAF. does this unit come with the GM MAF plug like the gen 1 kits? -Justin edit: wait I think I got it, You use that adapter to plug the GM MAF into the cars MAS plug by the fender, and then the MAFT intercepts the signal inside by the ECU to alter it. correct? -Justin
  4. Not bad at all, hope it doesn't crack! nice penetration. (LOL) -Justin
  5. 135 out the door for mani and hot side. 60 for the hotside, 75 for manifold. prepped and coated. Lo-Ko performance coatings in Oak Lawn. -Justin
  6. After an hour of knife stoning, the turbo side is planed. Manifold side will be done Thursday. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc92/pocketrocket1331/Mobile%20Uploads/1331678104.jpg -Justin
  7. ^ that literally made me LOL. I can't remember, but did you replace the 02 sensor yet? If I remember correctly the car runs rich if the 02 is bad. Could be dumping too much fuel if that combines with other bad sensors and safe modes. I was getting 8mpg when i first got my car. CTS, 02, and MAF later and I was up to 14 -Justin -Justin
  8. well by running I mean idle...then i pull of the old IC pipes and MAS for new 4" *DM IC, 2.25" full set of pipes, and a GM MAF blow through and MAF-T gen 2 for fuel control.I have to cut the front BOV section of the OCVP off to make room for the MAF, then have a capable welder run a fat bead around the cut end to act as a lip so the coupler doesn't blow off. I'm really hoping the MAF-T 2 install and tune goes smoothly cause I might punch myself in the left nut if it takes me days (which translates to weeks with school and work in the mix) to get it on a solid street tune. Then, after that is verified, I pull the pipes back off for powdercoating since they are bare aluminum. I wish I could just coat em now but I need to make the MAF cut first. -Justin
  9. Well I'll be filing the ceramic off the mani surface and stone-ing both surfaces smooth. other than that, i hope I can finally get this thing running again this week! -Justin
  10. I pooped myself a little in that supra. jussayin' I'm awaiting the same treatment from this quest -Justin
  11. Thanks for all the wishes guys! I'm 18 now...wooooo lotto tickets and titties! lol. Tech, I remember getting a PM from i think it was turbo rusty linking me to the thread about me hahahaha yall the best! -Justin
  12. I was 17, 5'6, 205lb, 34 waist in December. I cut out all soda and snacking in the beginning of Jan and cut my portion sizes greatly. I'm now on my 8th week of p90x. I did not follow the p90x diet, but I have been eating a lot of lean cuisines for meals and similar portion sizes when I don't. Haven't had fast food in almost 2 months. Even with missing probably 10 solid days of workouts on the schedule, and I've started to snack more the past week, I'm now 18, 5'6, 183lb, comfortably 33 waist. For those that know me, I've got quite a large, wide shouldered, big chest kind of build so while I lost 22 lbs so far, I feel I've lost a lot more fat. I build/gain muscle so fast/easily when I lift and work out that I think I've just put a lot of muscle on too. Recently I saw Fanta here and he commented on how I look leaner and that is compared to last time he saw me which was last July at PF when I was more around 190ish. I lost 19 pounds the first 2 weeks cutting out soda and large portions and snacks and junk food. Water, small break fest, sandwhich for lunch, and small dinner with a protein bar and glass of chocolate 2% after every work out. If I could give only a single suggestion to someone for the biggest change: DRINK WATER. occasional milk or juice is okay but 95% water! Soda is such a killer! -Justin
  13. update: He's sick with Mono and internet is down due to lack of bill-paying. He said he has not forgotten and will get it shipped out as soon as he can leave the house! -Justin edit: He said Magna is inbound

  19. ahh okay, I'll just ask the coater if they can tape that section off then. I knew I wasn't missing something there thanks! -Justin
  20. How do you remove the WG flapper from the turbo hotside? I'm getting my hotside ceramic coated and I am figuring I will need to remove it since it's a moving part. I don't see any threads or what not to disassemble it? thanks, -Justin
  21. yeah the head itself isn't rusty (aluminum) its just the bolts and plugs and JVs. The used one I have, 100 plus shipping complete? just needs to be resurfaced. PM me, we can work something out -Justin
  22. Well if you can't find an NJV head, I have both a used complete JV and a clean, flat, new M27 casting I got from my local mitsu dealer which needs a valve train. I have a FS post up if you'd like more info, or you can PM me thanks, -Justin
