  1. Alright, I got a front spindle but now I need random stuff to actually get the repair completed. I need: - front hub - dust cap - wheel bearing seal Anyone have them or know where I can locate them? I greatly appreciate it guys
  2. Also, I forgot that I need a silver wheel cap for the center hub; and they're OEM wheels. That got blown right off and I'm sure I'll never find it.
  3. Hey guys. I searched through all of the stuff for sale and couldn't find one. I blew my driver's side front spindle out yesterday and almost lost the wheel Does anyone have a spare laying around that they'd sell? I need one of these ASAP as this is my DD. Thanks! EDIT: Almost forgot, if you have one for sale I can use PayPal. My shipping zip is 12180.
  4. Cool. Thanks for the info *high five*.
  5. I searched a ton of threads and keep getting conflicting information. Let me lay it right out there and tell you what I'm looking to do; I want to send my injectors out to have them cleaned but can't deal with the downtime. I'd buy cheap-tail injectors if they worked for the amount of time I'd have to wait for mine to be returned. The most popular brands that I can find info on are Delphi and Python (same company?). Are there cheaper injectors out there that will work? If so, where would you suggest I find them (other than eBay)? There's a listing up over there for $160...but....meh...I dunno *shrug*. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, guys.
  6. Who did you send the injectors to for the cleaning? I may be interested in them. Thanks, sir.
  7. Does anyone remember who the gentleman was that was putting the tune-up kits together? A good friend of mine used to be an active member here and remembered that this was happening at one point. Yes, I'm fully aware there are cap/rotors/wires availabe at almost every Autozone, etc., but I'd rather hear from you guys what the best options are. Copper contacts are a must...obviously. Anyone have that gentleman's name or would like to bless upon me some information as to what is a good package?
  8. Looking to grab one of these ASAP. Definitely needs to be in good shape as this is going in my DD. If you have one please PM with a price + shipping to zip code 12180. Also, this is a longshot...but does anyone remember the tune-up kits that someone here was putting together? I need cap/rotor etc and want to install GOOD parts with copper contacts and such. His kits were awesome from what I remember... Or any other ideas (besides the obvious chain Parts stores)?
  9. Wow. A lot of great (and intriguing) info, guys. I really appreciate it *high five*. The engine hasn't been modded all that much yet. It has a Clearwater head on it and has had the balance shaft eliminated. It has a MSD ignition and a wideband installed already. Upgraded MAF, as well. It also has a 3" exhaust. What I want the car to be is a reliable DD that puts out around 275whp. I realize that's a ton of power...but hopefully it's realistic *shrug*. Also, it's not a car that I plan on keeping for 5+ years, either. So longevity isn't a huge issue. I'm still a bit confused as to what pistons I should run. I'd rather keep everything as inexpensive as possible, but new Wisecos obviously aren't cheap. I'll ask my buddy if the stock pistons and cylinder walls are in good enough shape.
  10. 7:1 is stock compression?? Huh...damn, missed that one. Alright then, Wiseco 8:1 would be fine then I suppose. I'll most likely be running a 20g at some point soon but she's sitting with the stock 12a on her now. I'd like to run around 8-10psi on the 20g, if possible.
  11. I've got a mildly-worked over 2.6 that has just murdered a rod bearing. Which means it's apart and now's the time to "upgrade", eh? What I'm looking to do is run around 8.5:1 with lower boost. All of the pistons I'm finding are the stock 8:1. Is anyone aware of a source to get higher compression pistons? I'd really appreciate any info you could provide.
  12. Are there pics of the bottom end? I'm very interested.
  13. Rear axles have been sourced and now I need rear-diff mounts. If possible, please quote prices including shipping to 12180...or local pick-up around Albany, NY. Thanks, guys...I appreciate it.
  14. Total 2nd on UCW's suggestion. Damn, dude...lol *shaking head*.
  15. Calvin and Hobbes!? WHOA...blast from the past *shaking head*. Definitely my favorite comic when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure I still have like 20 of those books stashed somewhere... BTW, is that a baby T-rex? Or was it bred down to like a Shetland Pony type of thing? Either way, I want one...
  16. Yeah...that's pretty insane. Did the entire state get shut down?
  17. 1989 TSi SHP. Need these in good condition, please. I used the search function and couldn't come up with anything *sigh*. If you have these my shipping zip is 12180. Thanks, guys.
  18. 50cfm!? Pfft...yeah...that's certainly nothing to worry about. Hmm...alright, well...thank you for the information. I'll definitely be looking in to this route instead.
  19. Interesting. The previous owner of my 'quest had a 20g installed and decided it was too much. He suggested I go to a 18g instead. How comparable are the 18g and Evo3 regarding power? If the Evo isn't all that much less I'd probably go for that instead. I'm not looking for this thing to be un-streetable or anything...but I'd definitely like to hit at least 300whp.
  20. Can you fab a 18g? If so, how much (with a core)? I have a couple of 12a cores as well...
  21. Did you reuse the old mounts because I need a new set
  22. Dude, awesome! Worked like a charm *high five*
  23. Oh, yeah? That would be pretty cool. I may have to do that. Thanks I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade the extra 12a I have or rebuild the 20g that came uninstalled with the car. Supposedly, the kid that had it last took it to Autozone to have them hone it I'm thinking the 20g is a bit non-streetable for my set-up, though *shrug*.
