Selling my 88 Quest. The previous owner painted the car and there are some drips and imperfections. Couple of cracks in the hood that were painted over. Motor was rebuilt 4k ago, 90k on body. My stock oil feed line has started to leak just as I got my car finally running. I want to replace it with an SS line, can anyone tell me the thread size on the 12a turbo AND the size I'll need for the motor end of the line? Motor---->turbo (12a). Thanks much!!!

I'm looking for an SS oil feed line for my 12a turbo. From the motor to the turbo. Or if anyone could tell me the fitting size I'd need for the top of the turbo and the end for the motor. Any help would be appreciated, finally got her running and now the line is leaking oil and can't be tightened more(safely). Thanks!!!!

Wanting to do a MPI swap on my 88 TSI, was wondering what multi port injection manifold is everyone using? Meaning, what vehicle? Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

I had a similar problem in my DSM, it would run fine if i was just cruising but when i got on it it acted just like yours. I found that my MAS was unpluged... Good luck man!

Hi, new to this site and have been doing alot of reading and looking around but haven't been able to find a decent SQ performance parts website! I have seen TEP, and eBay of course...but where would you get a T3/T4 exhaust manifold for example? How about a HUGE turbo?? Any help would be appreciated, I almost have my car fixed so it's time to boost, break and repeat. Thanks!

When you say it "wont start" does it TRY to start? Or do you just not have power from the battery at all?

One injector has the engraving L7-01 the other is J1Z-3...........so what does that mean?? lol

Recently bought a 88 tsi and discoveredd that I had 2 black top injectors. I tested both of them following the link i found on the fourm. I need a GREEN TOP 88 injector in good working order. I need it shipped to 84106 (salt lake city), thanks much! PM me.

Ok......LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I would like to announce that I believe I have figured out the problem!!!! Well I've been doing alot of reading on this site, lately about injectors specifically and a thought poped into my head. I don't know much about TBI so that's why I thought that both of my injectors being IDENTICAL was normal....come to find out that one is primary and the other secondary(which I knew) but different sizes???? So I have 2 black top injectors!

Looking to purchase an aftermarket head gasket. Looked on the internet but with no luck, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ok....it ran for several miles no problem and now it wont start again. So before I get into the timing business I think I'm going to check my injectors out and follow the troubleshooting link. by the way, there was no gas in the L shaped line under the FPR

Just picked up a pretty clean 88 tsi, stock everything. Having some starting issues but getting them worked out. Was wondering what everyone would recomend for the first upgrades. I was previously a DSMer and I noticed that 1g MAS are a big upgrade on SQ's, but what about 2g MAS(since I have a perfect one sitting in my closet)?? Has anyone succesfully used one or is it a waste of time? Let me know what mods you'd do first. I'm also wondering about intercooler piping kits etc. Thanks!!

Well, I purchased an 89 TSI about a month ago with no motor or trans( or front seats) with the intentions of possibly doing a V8 swap. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to find an 88 TSI WITH motor and trans for a VERY good price...so I jumped on it. So, now this leaves me with the 89....I hate to take her apart but if it will help others make their starquests nicer than it's for a good cause(trying to be positive here! lol). If there is anything that you need please let me know and shoot me an offer, most will be accepted as long as shipping is covered which I will calculate individually depending on location etc. Thanks!
