  1. oh and if you wanna compair somthing to working on an audi... Its no harder than learning the ins and outs of a pain in the tail conquest... but the audi will be more reliable in the end..... Every single car has different things to look for and different ways to fix them.. being adaptive and knowing basics and having patience are good traits for any mechanic or anyone who works on their own stuff.. you cant just jump into a new car and expect to know everything about it or its systems
  2. I dissagree with most of you... I was an Audi/VW tech at a well known dealership for quite a while as well as a mom and pop shop that specializes in them.. I also sold them ive owned older late 80s, early 90s audis, late 90s audis, a few S4's, A4, A6's etc... a few issues, heater cores with high mileage in them tend to get plugged up, most the time you can backflush it and call it good.. Timing belt service usually 80-100k depending on the model, replace water pump and tensioners/pullys, seals while its apart which is a fairly simple job on most of them.. Front control arms upper and lowers when the ball joints where out you gotta buy a complete kit to fix both sides for a few hundred on ebay and finding the kit on ebay you will get the CORRECT OEM replacement same brand and everything.. digital LED cluster in the dashs tend to go out.. but not the odometer side.. those are the main issues... and no most of thats not super expensive to maintain considering at the mileage itll have to be done at you'll get enough years out of the car before actually having to do any of that.
  3. I purchased the forged motor that was in that car.. when the owner sold it to me he was going to put a stock motor back in it.. I had thought about purchasing the car for a second quest to play with... he listed in his ads that he put the stock motor back in it.. not sure where you got your info from?
  4. I found a Glowshift, black face, 7 color LED, electronic oil pressure guage that i never had in a car, I only tapped the sending unit so it would screw into the factory oil pressure switch spot..... Ill include that or $15 more.... Ebay they go for $60 just for the gauge!!
  5. I found the link where derek posted pictures. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101388entry986295
  6. unless derek has pictures of it in his car that he could post, I dont have any, i never really got around to even driving my car after i put it in there lol.. . he originaly made the mold for his Flatty that is no longer around.. it fits great, the view is great and very easy to look at a Wideband or any other gauge... this could also easily be finished by anyone and made look mint, considering i only sprayed black paint on it.
  7. D_Venable(derek) made this gauge cluster maybe 2 1/2 years ago, as far as I know this one and the one is his car are the onlyones in exsistance,, remove your factory Dome light setup and this uses the same 2 screws to mount and the factory cover for the screws also works on this. this was never finished 100% since i had it, I just sprayed it black and put a hole in it for my Greddy Profec boost controller, put my gauges in it and mounted it.. I haavent had my conquest for quite a while and this has been collecting dust. I would like $40 shipped for it..thats including paypal fees. boostthis89@hotmail.com is my paypal address... I will ship USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.
  8. id still be down for coming even though I havent had a quest in a few months.
  9. I had partial tendon tear & a ligament tear, refused surgery and I healed just fine and am stronger with my shoulder in every single way possible and zero loss of flexability... Maybe i got lucky but my doc told me that the majority of the time they cut you open, clean the tear up and dont re-attatch and then put you back together.... then your out for rehab etc.. F that...
  10. The 3 Allen screws with nuts on the bov itself are there.. I would take $60 shipped.plus the 3% paypal fee. paypal is boostthis89@hotmail.com

  15. buy the 2 front calipers with mounting brackets and get the caliper with no mounting bracket free!!! lol.. These were on my car for maybe 500 miles TOPS and someone rear ended me... since then they have been sitting in my basement on a shelf in a pile of dirty parts and moved around over and over again debating on if i wanted to keep them or not.. the caliper with no mounting bracket I dont remember which car it came off of. Ill take $50 for all 3 of them plus shipping which will be about $15 as long as I can fit them in a large flat rate box. Items located in Stevens Point Wisconsin. Email: boostthis89@hotmail.com or pm on here.. id like these gone asap as im trying to clean house and i have alot of other random stuff ill be posting up as well to try and move before it gets trashed
  16. I wish i could eat the minimal ammounts of.food you guys are talking about.. i am 270lbs around 10-11% bodyfat with visible abdominals and require 7000ish calories per day to maintain this bodyweight.... Also being a trainer that specializes in male body recposition In the last 7 years I have not once had a client whom was dieting taking in under 2500 cals a day... Your body can use a lot more calories than people give it credit for as well as using processed foods to build muscle and strength.. there is also a place for them when dieting. Best thing I can say for those looking to lean out is to study high gi and low gi carbohydrates.. stick to low gi for less insulin response and no red meats.. eat a lot of viberous vegis.. and don't overdue it on cardio... Even competitive Bodybuilders don't usually do high intensity cardio as it is very catabolic, the majority is low intensity so your body pulls from.fat stores faster for energy instead of having to deplete glycogen and then have only a small op tp burn fat before y start burning muscle for energy
  17. I have a black dash that can be brought to Milwaukee area for pickup as well if u need it
  18. Go find a machine called a "reverse hyper extention" this machine has been proven over and over again to reverse bulge disks and increase core strength to make sure it doesnt happen again.. Ive personaly gone through what your going through and the doctors pretty much gave me no hope.. this machine saved my tail, I also have a friend who had 2 bulged disks according to doctors and the MRI, he purchased this machine and corrected the problem over the course of a few months using it. he is a proffessional strongman so the bulged disks would have ruined his career.
  19. they probably dont know lol.. he had that registered for years before he swapped to a 2jz.. seeing both of them run the numbers they are im pretty sure vette can achieve what hes going for just fine... I know there were only a few slight differences between the 2nd gen and the 1st gen, one of them being turbo, injectors, thicker head gasket maybe somthing else I dont remember its been a few years.. but the 2nd gen averaged high 9s low 10s and the 1st gen has clocked low 8s .. DO IT TO IT VETTE!!!!

  21. yup there were two actually.. that was the fastest probe with a stock platform before it went RWD and 2jz, then there was a 2nd gen probe that he was always competeing with that was the fastest probe as well that ended up going 2jz.. there is a buildup thread of both cars on probetalk.com someplace, its a full tubeframe chassis though, ... both of them daily drove the cars! http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs281.snc3/27708_125122744179233_100000445238471_232112_5418974_n.jpg http://forums.probetalk.com/showthread.php?p=1923186604#post1923186604 http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f173/MattMaas/pic1.gif
