i have buit several 350s, have always honed my own blocks. i use a 3 stone 120 to start and a 180grit ball hone to finish. several of my engine builds have lasted atleast 100k. the ones i build for myself dont make it 10k but at 10,000 rpm u wouldn't last long either lol.

looks like a gm, but i maybe wrong.

torque tube mounts are still good, the mounts i just put in i got off a 88 quest at a local junkyard. mine were torn when i got it. also my right rear strut is bad (adjustable struts) if that makes a difference.

today i has driving my 89 quest, took off from the stoplight and got on the gas hard. shifted into 2nd and band the diff mounts ripped in half. so are they still avalible ?? dang my lead foot did it again

ya it runs but i think the tps is bad today it would bog out under part throttle, but if i stomped the gas it would take off like a streak of #%*@. also eliminated the carcoal canister and vac lines today.(replumbed the waste gate too) don't know if that is related to my new problem tho? :confused0024: no ecu codes

i have a 89 conquest tsi black with tan interior. I got the car off a friend of mine for $600 . he owned this car for seven years and never got the car running. i had been after this car for 6 of the 7.ofering $800 (what he paid for it ) About a month ago he called me and asked if i would "come get that black piece of #%@* out of his sight" i thought he was talking about my 70 nova (sitting in his barn) so i hook up the car trailer and head out to his place. I get out there and we start talking and he says "If u want that conquest get it out of here " apparently his wife is sick of it sitting in the garage and wants it gone. i didn't ask any questions i loaded the car and got outta there as fast as i could. :hmm3grin2orange: had it 3 days found 3 issuses, no spark, fuel sprayin from the side of the cracked injectors, and bad turbo, He came over a week later and had a box of parts for the car. a new s16g turbo, 3 knock boxes and a ecu (still in mits. packaging !!!) :jumping0045: what are the odds of all three knock boxes being bad?and the car needing a ecu? idk but they were.(found a guy with another car and tried all of them in his running car not one of them worked) :chair: AHHHH now im frustrated i get online and start diggin and i find starquestclub yay :dancing: btw i was gonna pull the motor and go sbc if i hadn't found this site :character0056: i read everything i could find about the problems i was having only took me a week lol. caravan dist. module and new injectors and new clips now i have spark and fuel yay. cleaned gas tank, new filter, put new turbo on and :driving: now i have found more problems bad adjustable struts (left front and right rear) none avalible ?? i cannot find parts anywhere around here !! guy at local salvage yard had never even heard of a conquest !!! i wanna start modding this thing already have 16g turbo and a/f gauge what next any ideas ?? is anyone else in eastern SD ?

also is anyone else running the caravan module in there dist. ? i scored this car off a buddy it was all stock with a bad turbo(now s16g), leaking injectors(now new 650+1000cc with new clips), and now i have gotten 3 bad knock boxes. so i am running a caravan module. have mbc not installed also narrow band not installed.

i konw go wideband right, trust me i would but $$ is an issue curently. my question is this does a narrow band still read at wot ?
