Thank you very much i know its a low price but from whats been going on and not having a garage i cant have a parts car sitting with all my extra parts in it and i really just need a car to get me back in forth that i can get in everyday and not question whats going to happen

Hey everyone i finished my built finally and its super clean and runs but for some reason when you turn on the lights i t starts to lose power and it has a brand new alternator in it but idk its bored .30 over with wiseco pistons the crank is cut and has a marnel head on it. I may have out 5 miles on it after the build and some unlucky stuff happened in the family and im really looking at a newer car anyway so the 88 starion that is rebuilt it for sale for 1500 with an 87 parts car thats super clean just has a v6 in it and all my other parts and pieces that i have extra. I had to ove to new place because i lost my house sadly and have no garage so i need them gone soon. Ok so i figured everything out with my car and drove it around like maybe 2 blocks a mile at most parked it to make sure everyhting was ok no leaks or smoke. Then when i tried to actually go out and put miles onto it it wouldnt start i charged the battery and it started. So the battery is losing power like its being sapped by something now the alternator is brand new and the battery is an optima and had it tested and it has 12.7 volts and 798 cca any ideas?

The car is basically just a parts car if you get one fuel line and put the tank back in it will run but will need new tires and the rear end isnt the best. I just have it for parts but wanna sell since im moving and i dont wanna scrap it. Really dont wanna part it unless its easy and fast since its cold as hell and i wont have a garage soon. But really dont wanna scrap it but ill try and sell for 500 bucks. good title has no airdamn no sunroof but its an 87 with black leather and it is a manual car but like i said its not stock some idiot out a 4.3 in it with an auto tranny. Ok well i dont wanna just throw it away but i have spark and fuel from the rail and injectors and from what i read that means that is the problem so ill buy a volt meter tonight

my car is an 88 so the adapter would have to make it so i can use the older ones

Ok i need the large metal knock box or a plug that moves it plug into the small black ones really need this i believe thats whats wrong now.

Just wondering if yo have a metal knock box really need i think?

Yes i made sure the injectors were firing and the spark plugs them selfs are brand new put in just to check for spark

Ok i have spark and fuel i took the line off and it was pumping out and then checked for spark and i also have that so im guessing im just missing air........... Anyway i need a new box i guess?

Ok i have fuel i have spark just wont start so the metel box died? i beat on it a bit while a friend was trying to start it and nothing battery is good and checked for fuel it pumps fine and sparks great

Btw its an 88 and i had spark bc it ran just fine then i put fluid in the power steering then tried to start it and turn the wheel to get any bubbles out and it wouldnt start so i dont think in getting spark but ill have to check and i just went and bought a new msd coil and that changed nothing just so everyone knows

Yes i have an 88 manual on my laptop just i dont have the know how really to deal with wiring at all but ill get some pictures up so everyone can see whats going on but i do really appreciate the help you guys have given and hope to give

Ill have to try that i wish the harness was the same so i could try one that is from a running car but its not

The white box is a porcelain resistor i didnt even think about that but i changed what you said took it off a running one just to try and still got nothing

Ya i know that maybe thats bad idk i have to of the black boxes but the harness doesnt fit them sadly so i cant test to see if its bad

Ya idk what it is there is the giant metal box then a little metal piece that has two wires one goes to the coil and then i have a plastic white box idk its always been there
