  1. -I run mine with 0.35 gap without any problem -You asked for stock, here it is: NGK BPR-6ES-11 Gap:.039 to .043 in. 1987 Starion FSM Vol. 1 Section 0, Lubrication and Maintenance: Page 0-14. Great info guys. Thanks to all. Will definitely go with the BPR-6ES-11 gapped at .039 to start with. -Your boost won't change, the wastegate is still set at ~7psi. I just assumed that since boost was raised in the 88-89 cars and their ECU's allow 87 cars to raise fuel cut that it was something inside the ECU signaling it to boost 10psi. But now that I think of it... I have a 88 turbo with the 3 port wastegate, and I remember the car I got it off of had a boost solenoid (which is the cause of the raised boost). Anyways I gotta MBC laying around. Thanks again guys.
  2. http://tech.mirage-performance.com/sparkplugs.html Based somewhat upon this chart... I may just buy BPR-7-ES-11 gapped at 0.028. I think the 0.040 gap is just the max gap to be used for that plug. I use BPR-7-ES in my 2g DSM with 0.028 gap and runs good. I may just use on the stock setup, and for sure when I mod the car as said before. I just would like some confirmation on the Gapping. Any comments from people with past experience would be appreciated.
  3. I have an 87 ESI, stock and wanted to know what the stock plugs and gap are that came on these cars? I also wanted to know which stock plugs and gap to use on a 88-89 ESI? Reason is, I did a search for plugs and found that 87 had different plugs than the 88-89. Most likely due to the raised boost. I wanted to smog my car with the stock plugs, then after smog install the 88 spark plugs along with my 88 ECU, 3in exhaust, K&N filter, which will probably set me to about 10psi +/-. Everywhere I look I still get no info on what to gap the plugs at.????
  4. Know you did alot to the car considering your posts, but by looking at the first pic it looks like your O2 sensor wire is cut. That could of been the reason you were running rich. Or did u already fix it? Just wondering...
