  1. I think I'm having the same problem. I was thinking it was a bad turbo and replaced the turbo for a new T3-T4, new turbo header, and the car seems to be even slower now. Any advice on what to check? BTW, What does FSM mean?
  2. has not set their status
  3. I'm in east side Houston ( I-10 @ Federal Rd area) Would love to meet some day just for fun, also my friend just got a red Starion and he's fixing it really nice and doing a lot of upgrades.
  4. Hmmmmmmmm. To be honest, I didn't really know it was a bad idea, I tought it was only a matter of swaping parts or upgrading other things. But now that I hear that, I'm going to start by checking all my conectors, sensors and injectors. Thank you so much for your advices. BTW, where exactly is the CTS sensor?
  5. Hello guys. I've been having lots of issues with my fuel system lately, so I would like to convert my EFI system to carburetor, but I want to keep my turbo setup. Has anyone done this before succesfully? If so, Could you give any advice on what things I need to change or modify? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  6. Hey Thanks man, there's a lot of info there.
  7. Recently I bought a set of roller rocker arms (1.6). to replace my solid ones, the guy told me the 1.6 were to give me better performance, is this really true? Would it hurt something if I go from solid to roller? I have a performance TEP Cam, Not sure if it's a 265 or 285, anyway, Could this be the cause that I'm experiencing some timing issues? rattling at high RPM's and lose of power and overheating? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Are you planning to sell the transmission by itself?
  9. Thanks Dave, yes I'm also in Vortex (atobias). Actually I also had a '89 (yes, '89 originally from Canada) Nugget Yellow G-60 Corrado, along my VRT, but I wanted a Starion so I traded my G-60 for it. I just love the sound of the Starion's BOV. (who needs a sound system) hehe.
  10. PM sent (don't want to jack up Dave-O thread)
  11. Is your Corrado a G-60 or a VR6? I have one too. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/HPIM1326.jpg VRT http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/4-27-08HWM5pic.jpg
  12. Could you post pictures of the intercooler? and how much? Thanx.
  13. Thanks so much guys, Actually, the one I have now I bought it from a place called www.midwestturbo.com. it's a multy layer gasket, but aparently that website is not working anymore. Now, I dont know if i can reuse an MLS gasket.
  14. Looking for a cometic head gasket, also known as MLS (multy layer steel) gasket, Does anyone know where I can find one for a 87 Starion 2.6.? Thanks in advance.
  15. I'm using stock springs, 30mm spacer/adaptors in back and 5mm (hommade) spacers in front. There's just enough room in front and back. I'm planning on lowering it a bit, but only if it doesn't rub.
  16. First of all, wet sanded with 600 grit sandpaper, to make it a rough surface, and also to erase all the little letters om them.then what i do, is mix some clear coat with just a little of black paint (about 90% clear, 10% paint), and add the reducer and hardener, then spray them with a little touch-up gun, you don't need that much, the darker you want them, the more coats you put. Once you finished, let them dry,for about a day or so, then just wet sand them again with 1000 grit sandpaper, then 1500 grit, and finish them up with some rubbing compound for a really smooth finish. It sounds like a lot of work, but it is not, and believe me, It's worth it. PS. Actually on Conquest taillights you dont even need to wetsand after painted because the lines are very thin.
  17. I know, I already have my lowered springs, I just have to roll my inner fenderwells so the tires don't rub. Thanks.
  18. This is my Starion with Conquest taillights which I smoked and added some of my favorite wheels (Mustang's FR500) Actually, they're replicas, but nobody has to know. 17x9 with 5mm. spacers and 245-40's for the front, and 17x10.5 w/ 30mm. adapter/spacers for the rear wraped on 275-40's. Hope you like it. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/HPIM1343-1.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/HPIM1342.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/HPIM1345.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/HPIM1348.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/atguzman/HPIM1346.jpg
  19. anyway to know which one is which, mine has a flat sheetmetal oil pan
  20. What would be the best way to identify an 86-87standard transmission from a 88-89 just by looking at it from the bottom? I have an 87 Starion with a non original transmossion and I want to buy a clutch kit before pull it down. One more question: is there a big difference in performance between them both? I was trying to check on the FAQ section but for some reason I'm not allowed to view pictures. Thanks in advance for any comments.
