  2. the chrome rims are nice, good luck with the sale
  3. Maybe his.....shaft's too long ???
  4. i got the caliper from this guy, very good deal and he even gives me all the hardwares with it, i got it in 3 days. very happy with him, would do bussiness with him anytime. A +++ seller
  5. Hey thanx Thetexan88, i got it in three days, even comes with all the hardwares, look amost like new, put it in working beautifull now.
  6. wow your Starion makes me drool. looks sick, all tubbed out with side pipes, and a V8 ? built Chevy 350 ?
  7. try to put some grease on the threat of the puller so it won't get hot and strip out, and if it comes to the worse, i have one steering box with new seals and pitman arm in it if you're interest, but shipping might be expensive because the box is heavy.
  8. i've done that before , swapping a later style diff and found out that the 4 bolts axles are too small.
  9. I tried Lucas stop leak myself, it won't work if you have a bad leak. I used the pitman arm puller from NAPA so far it stronger and better than a couple brand. i use it at least a few times a week, and i had this for a few years now, here's how i got 2 of my pitman arms come out. with the socket on the puller, make sure the bolt on the puller center, use a good 1/2 impact gun on max tight the puller until it feels like the bolt wont turn any more then use a hammer and wack it down hard on the pitman arm a few times then tighen it up a little bit more to put pressure on it, keep doing that a couple of times, really tight but it will budge. or you can take the steering box out of the car and do it too, doesn't take that long to do it. less than 1 hr or so on my car a few basic tools to get it out. disconnecting the lines takes a little bit of patient, 14&17mm crowfoot, and short stubby wrench works good getting the lines out and try not to bend them, go back alot easier that way the rest is a piece of cake.
  10. i'll fill it up until it come back out at the fill bolt.
  11. Use a big pry bar. no just kidding, wiggle it as you pull on it gently, you will get it out
  12. I had no luck get the seal out, i ended up pull the steering box out of the car and dissasemble the unit to get the seal out, then press the new seal in, the whole process took me 1/2 day, but still cheaper than get a reman one from NAPA for $400.00. you may be lucky if you can get the old seal out, be carefull not to damage the are where the seal goes, then it will leak even with a new seal, most of the time the shaft will be rusty so you may have to use sand paper to clean it up.
  13. $63.00 from NAPA but i'll have to wait for a week
  14. any one have a good used one forsale ? not sticky, not leaky ? price with shipping to MA 01151 please, thanx
  15. make sure you don't put the charger on high amp, it will cook your battery
  16. they should check them for free, you can call you local autopart to verify, and you can check the fusable link with a 12v test light. they're cheap.
  17. do you or some body you know have a mutimeter ? and a batery tester ? or you could even take them out to an autopart store to have them check for you, very easy to get the alternator out of the car. took me less then 10 minnutes and i got the big aluminum radiator, so the long bolt on the bottom that holds the alt won't clear it, have to fight to get the bolt out.
  18. not too bad, my engine has 125k on it, i got anywhere from 120 to 125 psi, i think if you're within 10% of each cylinder, then you're ok
  19. that don't sound good. check your fusable links like the guys say, after you get it running, check the voltage on the alternator to see if it still working, my bad one pushing 12 volts or so, the reman one pusing like 14V, then check your battery also, make sure it's not dead so bad it won't hold the charge.
  20. don't drive faster than 85 then, do the speed limit you're on autobahn or something. jack the car up and shake check them, wheel bearing could be bad, loose, ball joints, bad tires, bent rims, weight balancer off or missing etc...
  21. look really close to see where it leaking from, you could use some cleaning solution then hose it down and check for leaks, could be something easy and inexpensive. mine was leaking out at the pitman arm seal very bad, i tried some Lucas power steering stop leak, i didn't work, i got the new seal, but get the old seal out wasn't easy in the car, i don't want to get violent and damage the surface where the seal goes either. i ended pulling the steering box out of the car ,dissassemble, clean the shaft where the seal rides with sand paper, install the seals then put it back together then installed in the car, about 1/2 day, first time. not that bad. compare to a reman one, NAPA quote me a discount price off $400.00.
  22. great person to deal with, good price, fast shipping. got my parts in 2 days. A++++ seller
  23. i just got one from NAPA couple of weeks ago i think under $5.00 fit perfect
  24. Excellent seller. i'm happy that got my parts from starquestJOE.
