i got it running just took it out for a drive i fed it some starting fluid for 10 second then stopped and it stayed running

idk yet i might be getitng rid of my quest anyways

ask sully the car dont look to great the bottom half is spary painted black and the front clip also the bodys solid for the most part but not worth repaint the whoel car when i have a nice body and pant job wiht mine

i need to buy a multi meter tommarow and if this checks out to be alight were do i go from there would bad piston rings cause this i kno from when it was up n running if u pull of the oil fill cap u can feel compresion blow out from it is that normal

no leak, i still have no clue whats goin on wiht this thing i dont think its the timing could it be compression whats should the compresion read on these cars i kno the piston rings might be goin bad in it

ok so i changed the plugs tried to start it no start sprayed starting fluid in it started for a second then stalled idk whats goin on here

heres the deal i might pick up another 89 over the weekend the car runs and drive i want the car mainly for the motor and what ever else i can use for my car, so i was wondering if anyone else in the metro detroit area need part off it to make it worth getting and parting out

does anyone kno were u can order those adapter plates to hook a gm trans to the motor i have a 700r4 and i was thinking about throwing it in the car when it warms seeing its a resonably strong tranny

sryy i havent had the chance to do this stuff yet its like 15 degrees out and i f'd up my hand at work

i will as soon as the car fires up and run ill go right up to autozone and order a new set of ngks and msd wires

i just got home had to go do some running around for now i just got some champions if it starts and that was the problem ill order some ngks and do a good tune up on it wiht msd wires and so on but for now ill see what happens wiht it it has a choppy crank ill throw plugs in it tomarow wiht some starting fluid and let eveyone kno whats goin on is there a timing mark on the crank pully so i can check it with a gun just incase the timings off

lol ok ill pick up some plugs tommarow on my way hoem from work and ill see whats happens what kinda plugs should i get

i have a brand new msd coil on it i took the plugs out cleaned them and it still wouldnt fire does this mean injector when it did start in cold weather it would idle realy rough for a min then smooth out and run fine

does it matter what u use as a test light because i used the same bulb i used to charge my compacitor and wiht aligator clips i had it on those same prongs tho

i did that trouble code thing but it didnt throw any i disconected the injectors and cranked it, and it tried starting could my injectors be bad

i had a problem before with it not starting when it was cold but when it cranks the cylinders tried to fire but it wouldnt start but not its not doin anything at all how do i check the error codes

hell yea go wiht the v8 if i cant get mine running im bout to throw in a 350 wiht a 700r4 trans

i have autolite platinums and they only have like 1000miles on them the wires only have a 1000 on them it its getting spark to the plugs but for some reason its not firing

yea see mine will just crank and crank it wont trie to start

rebuild it but if you werent so far away i would come get that motor unless your willing to ship lol
