I am trying to sell my conquest again. I would have updated the old thread, but the server is saying it can't access it. For sale is my Red '89 Conquest SHP. This would be a great project car because for the most part it has been untouched. The previous owner only installed a blow-off valve and all I have done is some basic maintenance and parts replacement. The car is located in NW Arkansas in the Fayetteville area. The car has been off the road for a few years now because I was rear-ended. The bumper has some slight damage, the tails need to be replaced, it does need a new deck lid. Other than that, this is a great car that just needs some cleaning up. I am a student finishing up school and I haven't had the time/resources to get the car back in order. I can't stand to see it just sit there and I have another conquest project that I want/need to finish. I have started the car and driven it around from time to time. The car doesn't hesitate to start and it still runs really good. I need to check the odometer again, but the car has about 140,XXX miles on it. I am asking $1100 OBO. Do you have any pictures handy? What would you want for it?

I was rear ended about a couple years ago and I haven't gotten around to replacing the hatch and tail lights due to school and getting married. I can arrange shipping. I am looking to sell my Red '89 Conquest TSI (SHP) 140,195 miles It was rear ended about 2 years ago and the tail lights, trim, and hatch need to be replaced. I am still in the process of finding the parts and may be replacing them myself. The unibody also needs to be pulled out so the new hatch will close properly. I also might be able to do this myself. The bumper should be repairable. It only sustained minimal damage and has 2 minor holes. The car starts and runs great and has new injectors. There is an oil leak (possibly the rear main seal) that needs to be addressed. The interior needs some care. The car has been sitting for a while, but like I said, it starts and runs great. The car wanders a little bit. It has since I have bought it. The previous owner told me it needed a rear strut. Since buying the car I have replaced all 4 struts (KYB), front tires, and the steering coupler. The car still wanders a little bit, but and the next thing I was going to replace was the steering box and the bushings. AC probably needs a charge. No stereo and probably needs new speakers/tweeters. The body is in pretty good shape, but has a few minor dings and scratches. Air dam could be painted. Needs rear tires. The engine has not been tampered with very much as far as I know. It has a K&N airfilter, BOV, and new injectors. I am looking to get $1500 for the car as is. The car is located near Fayetteville, AR. The quest needs some work, but has a lot of potential and with some TLC could go a long ways. It used to be my daily driver. I love this car and would love to keep it, but I don't have a lot of room/time/money/tools. I have/can get more pictures up request. If you have any question, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.

Can anyone tell me what turbo this is? Its a turbonetics as you can see. The previous owner wasn't very helpful. I think he said T3 or T3/T4. I just want to know what I really have. The cable I'm using is a 6ft Gigaware USB to Serial.

Whats up!? Its been a while... Im using tuner studio (latest version). I tried switching ports and everything but I didn't have any luck. it gives me about 20 different options for ports. I don't know what thats all about. I had it working good on a different laptop running XP but my laptop with Windows 7 wont connect. Im guessing its the drivers since thats what the problem was when I first tried to connect with the other laptop.

Is anyone running a serial to USB cable that works with windows 7? Mine wont connect to my laptop with windows 7. It will connect to another laptop with XP. I think its a problem with the drivers. I have an FIP controller.

Hang in there. Im away at college right now. I was going to get the car tuned (dyno + professional tune) the week I was leaving. The guy at the shop said he could do it at certain hours monday through wednesday. I just had to get an exhaust leak fixed. Got it fixed and then when I tried to schedule the appointment he said he could only do it saturday. The saturday I was leaving for college On top of that I just had some problems with the car overheating, coolant boiling over, exhaust leaks, me getting carbon monoxide poisoning, more exhaust leaks, slave cylinder problems, and about a dozen other things. I have to get those issues fixed, make sure I dont have a cracked header or a cracked head OR a blown head gasket, then I have to scrounge up some money to get it tuned. College plus building this car is mixes like oil and water....... Im soo anxious to drive this car tuned! Where are you at on yours?

Thanks... I like the rim style but the offset just kills me. It was actually the previous owners choice but right now they arent the highest priority. I like em though. What are the specs on your wheels? Up front mine are actually 17" sport maxx wheels. The rears are 18" xxr 006's. Im dont know about the offsets though but I can tell you they are wrong. Once I get my car running and sound I may look into spacers or different rims. Ill just have to see...

I lived in mexico for two years and though I loved the country, the people, and the culture/food/etc. I learned to appreciate what america is and what it stands for (or STOOD for ) No here knows how good we have it. Sure there are lots of problems but life is nice. Dang ungrateful people.

Cold my FIP MPI car starts up perfect. Hot is another story. Its kinda embarassing sometime but it always starts after about 5 seconds of cranking
