  1. well whatcha got? I need window switches and the switches (really just the covers, the part with the symbols) on either side of the gauge cluster. Got those?
  2. Ive got a greedy Profec b Spec 2, it actually came in my car, but it wasnt ever hooked up i dont think. There is a solenoid valve that has two vacuum hoses coming off of it. Where should those hook up to? I know it goes in the engine bay lol and somehow hooks to the wastegate, just not positive. and as for the vacuum hose that goes to the back of the unit itself, ive got that hooked up to the vac port right where the ovcp and tb meet. (not the fuel pressure reg. vac line) is that ok? one last thing, i need to tap into an ACC power wire right?
  3. Got all the gauges working. It was indeed a cut in the board from me putting in the boost gauge. Soldered them up and whalla! I havent gotten a multimeter yet to try the TPS/ISC reset. going to check the ecu for codes in just a minute.
  4. If it was the booster vaccum leaking id think itd just be firing/running on two cylinders (1&2). That happened to me, forgot that port was open and was only running on two, closed it up and smooth as silk. also you said the injector fires, but have you checked to see if its continually spraying/leaking while the key is just on (not actually cranking)? I also had a problem with a stuck open injector. It was spraying whenever fuel pressure was present.
  5. are you getting fuel from your new primary? have you looked into the TB while someone cranks it to actually see the fuel spraying? it could be stuck closed or even open to where its flooding. if thats not the case, do you have spark to each plug? im not sure of your order of events or problems but it could be wet/fouled plugs. how long have you been cranking with no success? any sputtering or sign of it trying to start at all?
  6. It runs. And drives. Working the kinks out now. New pics to come very soon.
  7. i dunno dude, over this way that kinda fuel runs anywhere from $6 to $10 a gal. hopefully a new tune is in order.
  8. crap. anyone have some floor space i could chip in for? No more rooms available. looks like its just going to be myself another hotel nearby?
  9. now that i think about it i did put in the autometer boost gauge. its possible i screwed up the circuit board somehow (somehow=cutting a needed lead)...crap can you repair those copper "wires" embedded in the board?
  10. ended up being a combination of a wiring issue and stuck injectors. got em freed up and going though. thanks
  11. Well i got my car fired up and running for the first time in its life so im pretty excited. Now just to work out the bugs. Really theres only a couple. The first and foremost problem is returning to idle after giving it some throttle. Its idling nice and smooth somewhere around 6-700 rpm, but if you give it some throttle and let off, its will stall out. But if you feather it back down it will return to a nice idle speed. Im thinking maybe a TPS/ISC reset/adjustment? Second issue is my voltage, fuel level and water temp gauges arent working. The tach, and oil pressure gauges seem to work fine. Im not sure if they all have a related issue or if all of them just kicked the bucket at the same time. The only one i messed with is the water temp sensor and wiring. My car is an 89, but ive got a single prong sensor. i hooked up the yellow/blue with a new connector, even tried ground the yellow green along with that. Nothing. Im going to get an autometer anyway but id like to get these kinks worked out.
  12. no im not sure that the injectors arent clogged up. how would i clean them?
  13. After getting through a CRAZY timing issue on my brand new engine, im down to a fuel problem holding it back from firing. Itll fire right up if a dump a bit of gas in the throttle body, and ive got gas at the TB, so thats how ive come to the assumption the problem lies in the injectors (or atleast the primary). Just for info they are OEM style injectors, one black one green (since mine is an 89). All new outer o rings and such, no service otherwise. I recently replaced the injector clips with new ones, soldering them on. How should i go about narrowing down my issue? Can you check for for voltage at the clips?
  14. I just picked one up from Summit this morning.
  15. Im trying like heck, hoping to be there.... im going to be cutting it close! :sweatingitout:
  16. pretty cool concept, but ill keep my sheet metal.
  17. Youre a funny guy Jon. Ill be posting some updates soon. Ive been polishing out the rest of my wheels and this and that. I know "chrome wont get you home", but the good tires on that set will. Got my hardpipes in, and got the stopper for my clutch pedal from Jimmy so all that is going in and wrapping up, and Ive got to get this exhaust to the shop. Its a coming...
  18. Chip, you could prolly ask this fella. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66976
  19. ^^i decided just to go ahead and host and post a pic. slydogg- thanks for the tip if it dont sell ill do that.
  20. Turbo xs RFL blowoff valve. Real deal not a knockoff. New in box never installed. Found out the AHP pipe i just got had a recirculation port, so i cant use this. $120 shipped - Will trade/work a deal(depending on condition) for a Turbo xs Type H Bypass valve (one for recirculation) http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/mrn_89/DSCN1504.jpg
  21. ill pass for now on second thought. go for it.
