Unless it's a very current car with an electronic throttle, almost all the throttle cables I've seen are always that way. Just twist it to the right position and slip it out of the gas pedal. You might want to take yours off and go for a walk in a bone yard and see if you can find one roughly 10" shorter if that's what you need.1 point
