cooltiger089
hey how much u think is to get the pistons shipped to new jersey.. n wats wrong wit the rod
QuestBYU
Package will be about 12 lbs (maybe 13 depending on how much packing is needed). UPS says 12 lbs to Jersey from 84606 is $19.76. Fedex is $18 and if I can fit the piston into the flat rate box then USPS is only $13.50. If it won't fit then they are about $18. Tracking is free with UPS and Fedex. It costs a dollar or 2 at USPS. Insurance is extra also. The rod itself is ok, its the bearing surface that is a little rough. It can easily be machined smooth and an oversized bearing put on and you are good to go. The other 3 are fine. I can send a pic or 2 of the roughness (it may or may not turn out in a photo). Let me know.
cooltiger089
o let me see a pic of the roughness
Indiana
OS bearings are for the crank journal not for the rod. All the rods have to match to be in balance. What happened to this motor looks like oil blew into the crankcase and some of those rings appear chewed up? What's up with the piston skirts? angryhero46
That oil pump can be had for 190 new.You should lower your price
QuestBYU
What happened to the motor is I spun a crank bearing. Instead of rebuilding the block again with the oversized pistons, I got a stock bottom end for free so I don't need the oversized pistons anymore. The oil on the pistons you see is from taking the motor apart. I had the engine on an engine stand and flipped it upside down and pulled the crank off then pulled the pistons out the top. The rings and pistons themselves are in great shape. the roughness on the the rod isn't that bad. I guess if you can't machine rods, then whoever buys them will need new rods or deal with this one. What's of value are the pistons, I was just including the rods because I don't want to disassemble them. I'll try and get better pics up but my camera is not good at upclose pics. On the oil pump, I can't find it for anything under $300 new. If you know of a place, let me know.

QuestBYU
I was looking at the oil pump today and it looks like it still has a part on it that came with my balance shaft elimination kit so I'll include the chain, sprocket and sprocket guide with that as well as part of the balance shaft elimination kit. The thing I don't have from the kit are the bushings. It's a freebie so If you don't want it, that fine too. Just thought I'd include it since I don't need it. QuestBYU
They look like there pressed to me. I think you're right. The shop that did my machine work put the pistons together for me but if I remember right, I think they were pressed in.
Indiana
The piston skirts were coated when new. Its worn off I was thinking that when I asked but couldn't tell. How many miles on those pistons? IF the machining marks are still present on the sides of the skirts the pistons are fine, can you close up of that area of each or which you would consider the worst one? Edde
Sealed power pumps are more than OEM pumps, that's the only problem with that. You got your parts for sale in the wrong forum
QuestBYU
Sealed power pumps are more than OEM pumps, that's the only problem with that. You got your parts for sale in the wrong forum Ha ha, just realized that too. Meant to put this stuff in the parts forum. Don't really want to start a new thread there. I'll have to see if one of the mods can move it for me. On to the parts, Oil Pump is $200 new (from Dad on the forums)so I'll ask $150 shipped, OBO. I'll try and get some pics up of the side skirts tomorrow when it's light out again. The pics seems to come out better in the daylight then with the flash. Both the pistons and the oil pump only have 900 miles on them.
cooltiger089
250 for the pistons

QuestBYU
do you have the caps that go with the rods? I can't find where I put them. I have an Evo with parts around my garage as well and I've misplaced some of my conquest stuff. Sorry. Unless I find them, the rods don't have the caps with them. cooltiger, you've got PM!
