CForbzy13 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 I have a 88 Starion with an AUTO trans that will not engage any of the gears, when you push the shifter button in you can move the shifter forward and backward throughout all the gears (park through 1st) and it will not grab in any of the gears. movin on Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) I had the same issue when I installed a valve body. There is a rod with two rings around it (manual valve) and a arm with part of a ball on the end as a guide that needs to go between the two rings. For me the arm was pushed up (which is easy to do) and as soon as I put it back in place. It worked fine. http://www.starquestgarage.com/manuals/ser...l_automatic.pdf Model 21-70. Third picture down.
