In the faqs section on the 3rd page under spark plugs 101, they talk about using rx-7 plugs in a starquest with good results. I am wanting to try this for myself but, i have a few worries about the fitment and the difference between leading and trailing plugs. from what i found leading and trailing plugs are part of the rx-7 ignition system to help with emissions. the only plugs i am able to get a hold of locally are the trailing plugs. Any info on this is greatly appreciated. If anyone has a better plug suggestion id like to hear it especially since these are about $25.00 a set.

Order them from Maxdatrix and get the colder ones (trailing I believe) for the FC3s rx7 and you should be good. I think the thread and length are the same and should work. With that said I didn't do it the last time I put plugs in and went w/ some very cold, 9es i believe, I picked up from a local Honda motorcycle shop. If you find a Honda bike dealer service center you should find our plugs.

That's the plug that was in the car when it was new. Its a cross of the popular plug and that plug you are talking about. Those rotary motors didn't want anything sticking out so that's why they are made like they are, different reasons for different parts in different motors but don't use those in this motor there is no rotor moving the fuel mix sideways past a spark plug in a G54B it just mashes the fuel up to the top so that plug is just dumb to use there is too much shrouding around it and if you want to talk about steel in a head that heats up and causes cracks well those rx7 plugs would go on that (bogus bs) list. You want the fuel to burn the fastest possible and purposely putting the spark as far away as possible sort of goes against that. The plug has the tip sticking out for a reason. There's also a reason why some motors have two spark plugs per cylinder too.

They are used in many engines, they are forgotten
