Corey
I want to adjust it tomorrow, and i was just giving it a quick one over today before i went to be. Theres a little "Window" that you have to unbolt right? Then is there just a bolt under there? Or what? And is there a pulley you have to remove to get to that "window"? Thanks for the info!! Ernie88TSi
At most, you'd have to remove your water pump/alt belt. Keep in mind that really the chains/guides need to be replaced at 100k miles.

Keep in mind that really the chains/guides need to be replaced at 100k miles. Keep in mind what Ernie stated, but see the FSM, Page 9-15 for how to do it. If you are lucky, and get the slack out and the chains are quiet again, I would also pull the oil pan to get all of the black "rubbery plastic" that has worn off of the chain guides out too. You DO NOT want that stuff gwtting into the engine's oil passages. For What It's Worth. KEN
vbrad511
Ken's right. When I did my BSEK a few years ago I dropped the pan. You wouldn't believe the amount of muck that'd settled there.

cyberquest
just press the adjustment down gently with your finger, dont force pressure down on it then tighten it. your just taking a little slack out if there is any so the chain isnt flopping around but you dont want it too snug where its grinding roughly into the rubber guides.
