deez
Okay, another hose on the old car that fell apart when pulling the head is the vacuum line from the back of the manifold to the metal line on the firewall that feeds the brake booster and I think the ABS. And of course its not available from the dealer or the parts store. So anyone have one they can spare? Thanks
TM
Most aftermarket parts stores carry vacuum hose this large. Take a piece of the old or measure the nipple on the metal pipe for sizing.
chasm2530
That's a 3/8 line to the brake booster. It's a formed hose from the factory that you can't squeeze closed with your fingers. I wasn't convinced any vacumn hose from a parts store wouldn't collapse and after giving up on finding a new factory one I made one from a 3/8 inch metal brake line with 3/8 inch rubber hose on each end to connect it up. You can bend the metal line to the same shape as the original. It's dark out now but if you'd like a pic let me know I'll post one tomorrow. Thats another story
