Nice clean job, I hope mine will look like that one day, keep up the good work man. Now try and get that car into a magazine, I'd love to see it in Sport Compact Car, or Super Street. Man that heatshield would be PERFECT for my turbo... but for $325 they can BOUNCE! Still a lot of $$ but I would consider forking out the $$ if push comes to shove for a heat shield. artinist Posted July 19, 2003 Report Share Posted July 19, 2003 ya i have a T04 also. i am looking at that HKS one for ideas and it doesnt look like it will sit a little behind where it really has to be, its going to be kind of a challenge to make one that fits pefect yet there is room to tighten the screws. heefner Posted July 19, 2003 Report Share Posted July 19, 2003 Hey Art, that heat shield mounts to the compressor bolts so you have a little space in the center cartridge area to get to the bolts. I've seen some that have a little lip that comes down over the turbine in the front. I think it would be pretty simple but can't really do much with my 20g since its assembled with a snap ring. :-/ I might try putting the bracket on the acutal mani instead of the turbo.
