Dad Posted July 31, 2008 Report Share Posted July 31, 2008 I printed all the e-mails. The car has 96xxx miles on it, it previously had a rod/bearings/crank replaced due to having a blown motor. I drove the car for 10 minutes and it broke down. I have the tow-truck receipt. I'm returning the car tomorrow to him if he likes it or not. I WILL get my money back. Private sale on a used car = sold as is. It doesn't matter if he used playdoh to block an oil leak on the block, the fact of the matter is it is your responsibility to check the car over before signing the title.
