shift1313 Posted June 30, 2008 Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 yes the length and diameter of the header tube matter. Too larger of a tube and you will loose exhaust velocity. Too small and you will create too much of a restriction and not get the same flow. Longer runners tend to give the exhaust pulses more of a "hit" when the get to the turbine but too long and you loose too much heat slowing down the exhaust gases.
